Damn son, you right, you so right, what Classic needed this whole time was random stats on raid items. It gets so old waiting kill after kill for the one drop you need. What we need is to extend the grind exponentially by having that item roll spirit and stamina every week.

Personal loot won’t even destroy buying items with gold. It might not be called GDKP, but you will just pay gold for your slot in the raid. They could also say if the item(s) you are looking for drop, you give the raid leader gold.

That might not be styled as a gdkp but yeah.
Personal loot isn’t going to do much to stop illicit rmt which people continue to accuse gdkps of solely fueling.
People have knowledge of a specific player or players of purchasing gold in violation of the TOS? Please report. But the distribution system isn’t the primary factor. People can (and have) used their ill-gotten gold to grease palms to get what they want in raids using other methods. So thanks, OP, for trying to come up with an alternative but that isn’t it.

The ‘random stats’ is a horrendous idea when pvp is such a big part of classic.
If personal loot doesn’t give duplicates, maybe it would kill gdkps. Otherwise you’ve got a better chance just buying gear in a gdkp vs maybe getting 1 piece of gear per x bosses dead.
If every boss drops loot for each person, yikes. People wont even raid log anymore (which is all most players do).
If you want a loot system that will Destroy GDKP here are the requirements
- Must be pugable
- must give reason for people with gear to continue to raid.
- Needs to be easy to understand
- cannot involve a radical overhaul of base loot functions (i.e switching to personal loot)
Sounds lame. Just keep it how it is. The gdkp Weebs can keep buying gear with irl cash, everyone else can have fun with their guilds.
Heirlooms of any kind in classic is stupid
Sure same with Warlock tank, Rogue tanks, mage healers, shammy tanks, paladins having a taunt is kind of stupid in classic O wait This isnt classic this is Season of Discovery Built in the classic client.
If you wanna go play classic there are servers locked in classic mode.

Jeez. I thought people expecting a drop every raid were a little unreasonable. Now people are expecting a drop from every boss? What’s next? A drop just for logging in?
