Korthite crystals are a required material to craft a 262 base legendary item-something that has not been very cost-effective. Me and many others that I play with are distressed that our gold and time spent to craft our items last week are undervalued following this recent update that korthite crystals can now be purchasable with Anima. Anima is a plentiful resource in 9.1, and this new transaction will drastically reduce the value of korthite crystals in the near future-already seeing a price decrease on North American servers as a result. Natural decay is normal and the community should be aware of this-but many of us were requires to spend upwards of 100,000 gold to buy enough korthite crystals, and many of us feel as though our gold that we worked hard to earn has been thrown away. I believe that players voices should be heard regarding new hot-fixes, and with this I support any sort of change or compensation regarding the new availability of korthite crystals.
not sure what you expected crafting a 262 item week 1 or 2. prices were going to drop for one reason or another.

What, did you expect the prices to never come down? Over time the price of crystals would have naturally dropped as people no longer needed them and dumped them on the AH.
Based on my calculations last week, last reset was the soonest for a lot of people to be able to craft rank 6.
I had to wait for this week for more soul cinders, but I had plenty of crystals to have been able to do it last week.
I literally just looted chests and did the quests. Never once paid for one.
I understand your struggle, but if you’re one of the early adopters of legendaries, surely you could have done more Korthia content to push the envelope, rather than waste gold? Rank 4s are still really effective.

It’s a good change. As for you though, you may want to look into other ways to make gold. Korthite Crystal’s peak values are over.
I mean, crafters still need rank 4 to craft the rank 6… that’s still your cashgrab. I was planning on crafting my own until I found out you had to grind to rank 4. Thought there was going to be a separate recipe. And I will not dump the gold to learn up to rank 4 either so gold sellers still have some power.

This. The dedicated are getting their 6’s last week or this one. More should trickle in over the next 2-3 weeks.
After that I expect prices to go down quite a bit. Only way I can see that changing, is if there is a massive drop off on people running Korthia (e.g. supply just tanks relative to demand). Jury is out on that. Folks still need sockets.

As a hardcore casual, who gotten a lot of these crystals from various rare, quest rewards, etc. (have 82) to me they are useless accept for money which to me is pointless because I don’t spend it all that much (only been playing a year since I left back in 2011 on a totally new server). Currently on my server they gone up in price from 2500 to 2900 since Monday into Tuesday. I wear my campaign gear putting me around 200 iLvl which is fine for me for what I mostly do.
sorry can’t rip no one off anymore see blizz does do stuff right. all legendary was way overpriced and hopefully legendaries are never this way again if they ever have again hopefully not.

It’s 25k anima for 5 crystals. It’s not going to wreck the market within a week. However don’t hold onto them for too long as eventually they will influence prices.
