Can you please give us something IN GAME that allows us to track this? thanks!
This solution makes little sense. While it might help to some degree it also hurts players who farm for specific items (not myself, but others. savage gladiator chains, manual crowd pummelers, etc. stuff people run 5x per hour for hours a day at times). In reality this doesn’t even hurt the people botting, as these companies that farm gold to sell on the real world market have tons of accounts and can just as easily switch between them than suffer any loss at this “30 instance cap”.
USE SOME ACTUAL IN GAME GMS. Police this stuff in real time! DO SOMETHING. These solutions you guys keep coming up with are tiny drops in a bucket. Pay your people using your billion dollar company to do actual in game support. This is not rocket science!
You know people are reporting, you know where the problems are, you know where to look. JUST DO IT.
BOOM!!!
lol bot will just switch server after 6 hours.
How about you just put in game time tokens like you did in china to smash the market? How about you limit the amount of players on a server to ACTUAL Vanilla wow standards?

He’s not going to get one.
agreed, so why is the 40 man raids even on that list, someone goin miss out for being forgetful. Limit the 20 man instances to 15? there is better ways to go about this then how Blizz is.
Wow. Anything to avoid banning the bots. Awesome. So what they will do is use more accounts to beat the 30 a day.
Well played. Looks like you tried to do something but all you’re doing is causing RMT’ERS to pay more subs.
Well played Bobby. Well played…
Wait, you mean this Isn’t just a ploy to get regular players to get more than 1 account?
Cool so now when I’m farming for SGC on my warrior before raids and hit the lock out, I cant zone in for raids??? THANKS A$$HOLES, great company!!!
This ruins legit farming for items like MCP, SGC and HOJ.
my favorite part of this are the 540+ replies pointing out what a garbage decision this is, and the… 33 likes. Guess we know why you disabled downvotes.
You farm MCP 48 hours a week? Yikes.
Not even a bandage its a speed bump… Most will just log onto another realm after they hit their 30, a small % might buy more accounts. Not even a big win for yall in terms of money > integrity.
The only thing this changes for bots is that they’ll have to boost toons on 4 servers.
Say you have 4 botting accounts doing 24 hrs a day on Faerlina, Fairbanks, Herod and Whitemane. Before the change, you run 1 bot per server, 24 hrs a day. After the change, you boost toons on each of the other servers on each of the other accounts (trivial for a botter) and you do 6 hrs on each server per account. Hours botted on each server per account remains the same.
Glad to see Blizz finally sticking to #nochanges.
Pretty sad that instead of banning the bots, fixing cheats of the flyhacking and clipping that were recently shown to the world, they just punish everyone. But hey, soon we will get those 4 extra slots. Do your job and ban the botters/exploiters, not your customers who are legitimately farming for mats, rares, items. Or just give up and put in a Classic Token to combat the gold farmers, as that’s what it took in retail - both here and other games. Things have gotten so bad if that gets rid of the bots, then so be it.
Actually after thinking it through, this might actually benefit bots.
Everything related to instances is suddenly hard limited, prices will go up and those with the most accounts that are basically untouched by this and the most items from these limited instances, ie botters, will profit immensely.
While people are flat out cheating and flying through the world and instances, while bots are up for months after endless reporting does nothing, while IMPOSSIBLE TO REPORT bots are farming instances and blizz tells you to just report them, blizz decides the best course of action is punishing the players.
I think we need private servers back.
Seems to me like you are willingly ignoring the problem now because it affects your bottom line.
Or you are encouraging people to make more accounts so that they can boost on multiple characters. Either way, a rather lackluster solution that brings more problems than it solves.
Such a trash company lol typical garbage blizzard
Just cancelled my account…I’m so sick of seeing bots everywhere then this half assed attempt at a fix comes down…good job Activision
