New Instance Limit in WoW Classic

Once again your greed and incompetence shows through and you’re unable to make a change that isn’t full blown stupid.

Congrats Blizzard.

E: You guys are turning into a more terrible company than Riot Games and they willingly knew about sexual harassment in their workplace and swept it under the rug until they got taken to court over it

This is only going to cause more bots to make accounts across every server, and it’s going to cause more phishing attempts to steal legit accounts so botters have the means to farm more dungeons. This helps nobody but them because it prevents legit players from farming dungeons. This on top of us trying to run old content to farm up our nature resist gear in time for AQ.

And as far as the people saying that ferals can get enough pummelers easily: have you actually done it week after week, hundreds of times? Any feral can tell you that sometimes RNG sucks and you get zero MCPs after your 5 runs per hour. I have alts too, and I really don’t want to choose between getting my pummelers for raid or leveling/gearing those alts.

Let’s not forget the ally pvp server players that pretty much have to hide out in dungeons to farm and level. If you remove that option, the ally/horde ratio on pvp realms is going to get even worse.

This change will make actual players quitting the game

And at the same time bots will buy new accounts

Is that what you want Blizzard?

Banning bots individually requires man power which is money blizzard (and its shareholders) are to greedy to let go of.

Maybe if Blizz could release a decent game other than WoW, they wouldn’t have to gimp our service so much.

What does this change imply for us Heartseeker horde that use dungeon runs to farm enchanting mats.

Our Auction House has been closed since January.

No, I have guild members that stop pvping to avoid breaking the bracket.
Maybe you should get guild members that pay attention to their lock outs on raid day? Or simply remind them?

This has to be the dumbest change I have seen yet…Seriously doubting I will reup my subscription when the time comes…

This change is even worse on imbalanced PvP realms - there is no hope questing or gathering in the open world thanks to Blizzard’s horrendous server implementation. It doesn’t hurt bots as they’ll just swap servers. It only hurts real players.

This isn’t even starting to mention the impact it would have on TBC, where instance grinding for reputation is critical.

Jesus, I might actually quit the game over this.

Awesome so I am paying for a SUB and you are telling me I can ONLY play 6 hours a day by this logic if I only do dungeons and cap 5 per hr? I WISH the ORIGINAL blizzard was here who cared about the PLAYER BASE. I am sorry but ActiVision has no idea how to run this game, all they think about is income and how they can get more.

Instead of punishing BOTTERS, the entire player base gets punished for something we didn’t even do nor ask for. You have the resource as there is millions of people that just log to play Classic and NOT RETAIL, so this is not a resource issue to break the botting.

Such a MONEY HUNGRY CROP this game has changed so much… so sad, lets see how long I last in this mix…

P.S. please make the fee of $7 a month just to play classic only (No retail) for a 15 + year old game with 0 support even that is a bit much don’t you think?

Here’s a thought: Don’t give Bobby Kotick a bonus for existing and hire more GMs.

I support this idea.

It won’t tho. They can either swap realms and rotate which realm they bot on or roll on another account. It’s such a stupid solution with easy workarounds for bad actors, with none for actual players.

Imagine making this terrible of an idea. Punishing the player base while helping the Bots. Jesus… Could you all be any dumber?

bless your heart, dude. you’re really tryin.

also how do you expect people to farm bis prebis? like hoj, sgc, reed. literally i bet not one developer has played classic. this is so stupid. i bought a 2nd account to powerlevel my alts to play this game more, def unsubbing 2nd account. no point in it. gz u are losing money with stupid decisions

I can understand where this change is coming from, but I disagree with it completely. This punishes your most active players because you want a cheap way to try and mitigate botting. PLEASE DO NOT ACTUALLY PUSH THIS UPDATE! Find better ways to action / handle bots in the game that doesn’t impact the general player base.

So much for #nochanges…….

This is a heavy handed fix that affects legitimate players more than the bots. The bots will just create more accounts…oh wait…that means you get paid for every sub. Nevermind it makes total sense now…

Meanwhile the same exact herb bots are running the exact same routes after hundreds of reports.

Dear Blizzard,

Thank you for trying to fix whatever you’re trying to fix by implementing this patch but as someone who has played this game and loved this game from Vanilla to Ulduar WotLK, and Private Servers for ~2 years prior to Classics release, can I say I don’t believe you’re fixing anything. I think you’re hurting the game.

Part of what I personally enjoy about Vanilla, TBC and Wrath (to a lesser extent but still) is the ability to play the game on MY time. If I want to go crazy one day and play for 24 hours straight, I can without limitations. There are no “Dailies” I have to grind EVERY DAY, there are no limits (currently, aside from the 5 instances an hour) to how much I can play. If I have to work hard for 5 days straight and cant get on at all, but then have 2 days off where I can play non stop, I don’t feel like I am falling behind because of the lack of “limits” placed on the game. This changes that, and it’s for the worse.

Your game has been in a steady decline since the end of Wrath/Cataclysm. Why do you think that is?

You also released Classic with the intent of “no changes” which has now become a meme with how many changes you are making to the game.

You’re taking a game we loved and putting your new age Blizzard spin on it and killing it, AGAIN.

I picked up Vanilla because I love this version of the game and I had envisioned you would have to carry on into TBC and I could play that version of the game again and have fun again with a game I love. I have told friends that I couldn’t and can’t wait for Classic and now TBC Classic because of how GREAT these games WERE, and they would laugh saying, “You don’t think Blizzard is going to screw it up like they have everything else?”

and I would blindly say, “No! There’s no way! They just have to release the game, they don’t have to do anything. The game is already made and exists as it is.”

And then step by step you’ve proven me wrong. To be naive and stupid for believing in you as a company to not screw up a game you already release and was beloved.

It hurts. It sucks. I’m sorry you keep doing this.

You are hurting new players by restricting them from being able to catch up to players that have played Classic since day 1 and did not have these restrictions on their accounts.

You are hurting players who cannot play every day vs those that can.

You are hurting players that trusted you when you said, “No changes” and those that even accepted the changes you made and stuck up for you when you made them, believing you were trying to better the game.

And you’re hurting those of us that want this game to be great and continue to have blind faith in you, only for you to let us all down.

I’m sorry you feel the needed to change the game millions of us loved to fit whatever you as a company now believe to be best for it.

I believe this is why you continue to see subscription numbers decline. And you can soon add my account to that list, because if this change stays, I will be one of the (I believe) many, that will give up on your game and company at the end of this expansion.

I hope you see the error in what you are doing here, and that whatever you are trying to fix, this is not the solution for it.

I hope you go back to the drawing board and try to find a new way to solve whatever issue you are trying to solve. But I am trying my best to explain to you why this “solution” is not it.

I hope you see it the same way soon.
