Not true at all lmfao. I will run strat 30 times a day with ease. i can run 30 ZG runs with ease just trying to get herbs for bloodvine for my guild. i can do 30+ lasher runs a day without any problem. most players in my guild play for over 10 hours a day. your thinking that anyone playing over 10+ hours a day are mostly bots is absolutely stupid and should be considered an opinion. Youre just trying to defend this change because of your VIP status. if youre really anything in classic please change your toon to your classic toon or dont do it. there are plenty of REAL players that touch dungeons for 10+ hours a day just to get 1 single item. HOJ or SGC are the absolute top situations. Blizzard is cucking everyone.
They are going to make this rough for multiple toons. There is 0 reason to support this change. Them banning 75k people shows that they know who are botting. pushing a dang auth is another thing that shows they know bots are on their own accounts. Adding this is a cop out for doing their legit job that we pay $15 a month for. The support in blizz has gone down greatly since at the earliest the middle of Cata. now its just copy and paste answers to issues and back way fixes that dont fix anything
Seriously…with being stuck at home for three months I cant tell you the amount of times I’ve logged in, fished for jed 5 times, hit lockout, logout and go back to work for an hour, repeat until I find jed…
Then later that night I’ll actually get on and play, raid, boost, etc…but I’ve already seen 20-30 instances that day and spent less than 1 hour ingame time just reseting the dungeon.
The behavior Blizzard wants are more subscriptions. With this change, they’ll get just that. Bot accounts will continue to inflate subscription numbers as a direct result.
I have been talking about how the fringe players AND bots abuse mechanics and clobber the economy.
Your idea of “legitimate” doesn’t seem to jive with blizzard’s and many other players.
I have been quite clear about why I agree with it. It has never been solely about bots. It is also about those who are complaining the most: those fishing for rares, bypassing 99% of instance content to single out a single boss, those boosting and being boosted, those amassing LUDICROUS amounts of gold and dumping it into the economy with virtually no gold sinks to remove it.
Bots were not the only entities ruining much of the game. Many players have as well, and they are squarely within the MINUSCULE % that will be affected by this change.
That’s a good point. It might have an impact on players who aren’t bots but are still cheating. I still thinking fixing the actual problems would be a better solution (repair the exploit that allows the cheat in the first place, etc) rather than messing with legit players.
Also, too bad they didn’t stop cheating and “exploitative play” a long time ago before it rekt the economy.
Odd. Even in our alt raid, we see dozens of players with the same instance farmed items. Not sure how 95% of the players I run with can be so “fringe”. I don’t think you could be more ignorant or wrong about how players actually play this game. But thanks for dropping by, Karen, to tell us how we should be playing.
Dude, most of the boosting that I’m aware of are people getting alts to cap for PVP or to fill in needed classes for raid slots. Where in the heck do you think they get the gold to pay for the boost? It’s coming from their main.
Not to mention, if a raid leader is accepting someone that is a freshly boosted character that doesn’t have any gear to support their class within a raid setting… that’s on the raid leader and not the boostee.
There is nothing wrong with boosts / getting boosts. I had my rogue boosted to 60 using my mage’s gold to get there, but I didn’t join raids right away once I was boosted, I did (and still am) farming for pre-BIS on my rogue to ensure it’s not a complete wasted raid slot when I do join raids.
But this requires dungeon farming/spamming, which pushes me closer to that lockout as a result.
This change is bad for everyone, whether or not they choose to see/believe it.
Nonsense. People leveling for the first time cannot afford the gold to be boosted. To level by being boosted, you need a level 60 paying for it.
This ridiculous “people playing too much is not intended by the original devs” is easily disproved by the 2006 April Fools joke. They did consider the possibility to do daily instance capping and the true developers thought it was absurd enough to make their joke patch. 14 year later joke developers put it in their true patch. Why anyone who respects classic would support this is beyond me.
