I can see the shoulders yes, and the boots too. That said… I still don’t like it lol. I never liked Alleria’s redesign in the first place. It looks nice, but it doesn’t look like a hunter to me. 
To be fair, I think that a lot of classes have a lot more misses than hits when it comes to set appearances. Like Mage, for example. Yikes.
I think it’s good they rotate Hunter tier sets a bit. Some are clearly more wild, like TWW season 1, with the animal bones and animal leather etc…
But Hunter in WoW is also the class of the farstriders and the elven ranger aesthetic. Which is the side that I prefer personally. I never play with a pet and I use MM exclusively. A set like this is right up my alley, I just think it could be improved with some changes.

It’s a recolor of a priest set, I personally find the tier set offensive to Hunters
The Farstriders didn’t invent hunting. Every race can be a hunter, and not every race cares about being Alleria and/or Sylvanas inspired. Hence my earlier comment of more baseline hunter inspired looks, rather than racial ones. I don’t want this crap for my non-elf hunters.
This is all subjective at the end of the day. I don’t care at all for hunter sets that appear to be wearing heavy armor. It’s just weird to me. That’s not a hunter. I really want to see some more that are leather in appearance.

All the parts are adapted from Alleria’s armor.
Except the “painted-on-the-body” parts of the armor cannot be asymmetrical because of the way WoW’s UV maps work. The rest of the armor kinda has to follow the painted bits.
And if you want to make it look closer you can just hide the helmet and one shoulderpad.

Mogs are very subjective. Something I dislike could be somebody else’s favorite set. Just echoing everyone else who is consistently disappointed in the hunter tiers.
I totally forgot about that and why it would be difficult to do the asymmetrical bit.
Yeah I actually did that on the PTR!
Also, don’t forget the cloak is actually the same shape, it just has two pieces instead of one.

I’d much preferred if they had kept her old design and painted it purple instead lol

While I’m on this mog tangent, I wish they’d design a full set of class tiers based off the female model, not the male one. It feels like every set is designed on the human male model, and the rest of the races + female models have to adapt around it.
Some of them have looked nice on females, but it’s few and far between.
A whole tier full of skimpy, feminine looks pls. The guys can deal, they have dozens of others to choose from.

I had a really good post and everything, and how the boots looked like something Magma Dragoon from MMX4 would wear,
And that’s all ruined now!
It looks like a TWW Hunter set. I don’t know what else to say.
My dream Hunter tier set would be a wild west themed set: Worn coat with a fine shirt, big ol’ buckle belt, slightly obscuring hat and rugged leather boots. That would be my preference.

This is my honest interpretation. It is supposed to be a play on Alleria’s new look (which is also garbage). You can really tell with the blue/white/black color scheme.

Nighthold was more like Alleria’s Legion appearance in the green-gold version (which I think is Heroic?) than Sylvanas’s in terms of the cut and style. Obviously they did give each of the sisters a recolor.
We already get those practically ever tier. Nerub’ar was another one in exactly that vein. I’m glad that they’re finally branching out into something else.

To me, it looks mostly like the Nighthold and Tier 2 TWW set… minus the stuff that actually made it work like skulls. So another MM set but blander?

Just very skilled with a bow/magic. I don’t know much about Varessa.
This is true. Being an archer =/= being a hunter, and being a hunter =/= using a bow.
Vereesa was also a ranger general, but her story as a ranger drops off much sooner than her sisters’ because she started focusing on her own things. She also had kids (that she was actually present for, ahem Alleria) so that probably impacted it as well.

If the shoulders were more form-fitting like Alleria’s pauldron, and the helm were replaced with like, a circlet or diadem, the set would look much better.
