No server transfers! even after 90 days!

110% agree with this. If they allow people to xfer from old servers to these “pristine” servers then these servers could end up being worse than the old ones cause all the people that started from level 1 and 90 days later will not have the gold to buy anything unless you buy gold or xfer your old character to this server as well. If you’re a new player with no old character then you won’t be able to do anything lol.

The server economy will already be worse than current servers by the time transfers open up unless they control botting/rmt.

First of all, I am very glad blizzard opened fresh start server and I want to play on it. However, if the transfer lock out is only three month (actually two months in WLK, one month in pre-patch) I prefer not to play on the fresh server directly. Instead, I can continue playing on current server then tranfer with tons of materials and p1 gears. Meanwhile, I can check if the server population and balance is healthy, then decide if I will transfer.
But, if everyone is doing the same thing with me, the fresh server will go to a bad situation. The faction balance will be ruined too, because most people would not tranfer to weak faction. The only good thing is Blizzard can earn another wave of tranferring money.
Therefore, Blizzaid, please save the community, stop thinking making money from transferring. You should extend the transferring lock days or close transfer.

Im definitely taking a hard pass on these had to do this crap enough on private servers. I could be wrong but this seems like they are aiming for the private server fresh community but those same people are use to having rdf available for wrath. So im not sure how long these will keep them interested in it.
Server will be big and die fast, like many did in classic and for the exact same reasons.
Consider deleting ALL our gold and non-soul bound items and consumes.
This will re-set the economy of existing servers.

I can’t imagine them making RP fresh servers, honestly. But we will see what happens.
Should do racial swaps like players will be able to switch their racial abilities to those of another race (with some limitations) to balance factions.
I’m sure the folks using bots to farm gold would rejoice if this were done, as they are already set to go and can up their $ charges immediately. Gold scarcity = more people buying via RMT.
There’s a gold cap but people will transfer with tons of mats. On the 90th day you’ll see the cost of materials vanish and the economy will be gone

Honestly I think another thing that might kill this server is the fact that it’s opening at prepatch and not slightly before. While it’s very possible to hit 70 in a month (or possibly two weeks like our TBC prepatch) it’s going to take a lot of the fun out of a fresh start if you have to stress yourself trying to hit 70 at breakneck speed in order to play wrath when it lands.
For the vast majority who play rather causally however, not being 70 when wrath launches means they’re going to abandon the server to play their old mains. No one wants to sit in tbc leveling a new character when wrath is out there.
Should release the server two-three months prior to WotLK so that people playing more casually can still be 70 in time for wrath, but everyone gets the chance to experience fresh. As of right now, the motivation to play here is largely in favor of those hardcore players and speed levelers.

These fresh servers should absolutely NOT have lvl boosts or transfers. That would ruin the whole thing.
Beside that, fresh servers is an excellent idea to bring back periodic players.

Is it me or is the post unclear on this:
- Will there be pre-patch leveling on the fresh servers?
- Will the 90 days start ticking as of pre-patch launch or WotlK launch?
90 days is not preferable, but won’t be as bad if there is a solid 45-60 day prepatch so people can get to 70, and then start the 90 day timer.
I really want a LONG prepatch.

People are going to be scrambling to hit high enough on the Fresh servers for even a chance at the Scourge Event. Unique things drop from Kara too, like the ETC Guitar.
so yall can make fresh realms but cant make 1 or 2 tbc era servers?

How about allowing free transfers to under populated faction on current TBC servers? Maybe Horde/Benediction, Alliance/Faerlina, Alliance/Whitemane, Alliance/Mankrik and Horde/Pagle, etc.
So looking at the order of this

They said that you can start leveling during prepatch. To level past level 70 or do northrend content will unlock on release day.
