I’m exclusively PVE. I was looking forward to an economy reset. A preparation reset. A luck reset. I want to play the game how I want to play the game. I don’t like the idea of someone else being able to decide how I play the game. I don’t like being denied the choice. Battlegrounds are great because people are PVPing b/c everyone present chose to PVP. Same for Wintergrasp.

Really? Why doesn’t the opposing faction drop loot then? Why is the entire focus of the end game raiding instances instead of opposing faction capitols? Not to mention, why don’t you play Alliance on Faerlina? Is it perhaps because they make up only .3% of the population on your server? You literally play on a PVE server in everything but name.

I 100% think that Blizzard is using data when making decisions, absolutely.
When did I mention anything about trust? I do pay them, and give them my credit card information, so there is definitely an amount of trust, yes. But, I don’t think that’s what you are getting at.
I’m looking at the numbers on IronForgePro and seeing that there is roughly a little less that 20% of the PVP playerbase logging raids on Normal servers. I’m looking at the dead servers that have been consolidated or discontinued and assuming that we are only getting 1 Fresh server because there is likely far less of a demand for Fresh servers than for existing servers, and it is PVP because there is far less of a demand for Normal servers than for PVP servers, in Classic.

Data analytics is a field. And yes, Blizzard does it. It doesn’t guarantee good outcomes, but it greatly increases your chances as opposed to randomly guessing.
Despite what you might think, they have a vested interest in making the game good. Yes, they’ve made bad decisions in the past – maybe even a lot of them. But certainly not ALL of them. Looking at the data is part of that.
Blizzard please make a Fresh PVE Server available at launch.

But I agree - the other pvp servers are parody.
I have no illusions that more people probably wanted pvp than pve, but to think there’s not enough players to fill 1 pve server is insane.

They don’t. I live on the East Coast and play on Grobbulus, a West Coast server.

One server is probably the best thing that blizzard could do Long Term though i’m surprised you didn’t go with one PVE and one PVP, Thanks for finally giving us an update on this will other regions in the world also be given Fresh? I know EU got one.

What I am going for is that the majority of the players on classic PVP are on servers that are so one sided, they are PVE servers in everything but name.
I respect anyone that wants to play PVP, that is their choice. However, players who do not want that style of play should, and always have (before now) had an option.
Faerlina at 99% horde and Benediction at 99% alliance = about 1/2 of all the PVP players you are counting. Statistically they shouldn’t even be counted as PVP players.

This. People like crackpype be like “zomg I’m a god at pvp you don’t like pvp servers cause you’re a newb I’m 1337!!” While also playing on a massively horde dominated server faerlina (99% horde) it’s 100% posting just to piss people off

Just here to ask if this is the final decision on this matter. Disappointed we aren’t getting a pve realm but my returning friends and myself will accept the challenge of the pvp realm. I just don’t want to start on pvp then a week down the road a pve server comes out and no transfers are available. I dont pvp so this will be different for sure. And no i dont want to go to a mega pve server. Tried that with Whitemane (pve by way of no alliance) and it was terrible

yeah ive been reading crackpype’s responses too. its a wild ride for my IQ (not high to begin with). they’re definitely just posting to troll this situation.
