I can respect their statements where they mention there are always people with differing opinions about something. It is subjective. But when there is overwhelming support for the latter rather than the former, they need to start looking into their own philosophy and realize they keep causing themselves problems.
A good example of this beyond the travesties of this expansion is Pathfinder. I’m someone who supports it, I believe it’s better than spending gold. However, it is inherently flawed due to being unabashedly time gated for no reason than to force people to stay on the ground, which I’m very much against. For years people hav complained about its acquisition and for years their response hasn’t changed. Rather than design content with flight in mind, they dig their heels into the ground and plug their ears against the complaints, and it shows. When stubbornness shows, that’s really not a good thing.
Shadowlands beta needs to come out and they need to listen. There was a lot of very solid feedback for BfA that went almost entirely ignored. I don’t think they can afford that with Shadowlands. BfA did a lot of pretty substantial damage, similar to what WoD did. So they’re in a critical moment here to fix the game for longevity or stake it for good.
