New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

I honestly think Void Elves shouldn’t have gotten the brand new Blood Elf skin tones, just the originals.

Yes, they really are.

We now have official confirmation that these are intended to be High Elf customizations. So Void Elves are now also High Elves.

Dev word trumps you.

but you have them all! We must have a unique theme color too! light skin color would be an appropriate thematic difference!

it is an option! you can use it or not! you are not forced to use that lightforged color! but those who want to use something unique could do it!

God I really can’t with some of you… Until we are able to create a High Elf on the Alliance side, that has the Paladin class option, potentially Shaman, and looks just like every Silver Covenant elf, we don’t have em. Stahp it!

We have these:

It’s not the total package deal, but it’s a type of High Elf.

I know it sucks that you can’t even with the reality of the situation but that’s what is official now until otherwise changed.

And you wonder why people find that VEs have been given a lot and yet BEs haven’t?

Didn’t you just say BEs have golden eyes and us complaining about our lack of attention during customizations is weird to you? Yet here you are demanding everything being given most of it, and still complaining?

Important stuff I gathered from WoWhead that hasn’t been mentioned yet:

"There are no plans to have mini-questlines to explain the presence of sub-races in Shadowlands, like High Elves or Sandfury Trolls. However Blizzard is using the new customization options as an opportunity to update the appearance of guards and civilians, correcting an oversight on their part over the years and improving representation."

“Character customization improvements are an ongoing system, they are never done.”

“Due to a massive engineering process reinventing how character customizations work, there are less limitations now as far as character options. Many customization options are on the table now and Blizzard is excited by the passion the community has.”

“We try to make choices for race customization that are appropriate for their race, ie Night Elf hairstyles and ornamentation core to their fantasy. Of course, some races have gotten more customization that others, and we make those choices vey specifically and we try to make use of our resources the best possible way to make sure we provide the best possible value for our time.”

We’ve now seen [all the core races receive a sizable revamp and even some Allied Race tweaks. Will character customization updates continue as frequently throughout the beta, or will the majority of changes be limited to the alpha?

“We’re working vigorously to get the majority of customizations done for ship. We potentially will make more customization in the future, but we’re focusing on getting as much into the game as we can right now. I can’t really talk about what future plans would be for additional customization options but certainly we’re trying to get the majority of customization options in for beta and absolutely for ship.”

I am going to stick to nelves and belves and nbelves for the moment mostly myself. Maybe if a subrace thing eventually opens up other class options and more story freedom I’ll bother but until then nah.

Yet.

How many times do I have to guarantee you that you will get most of if not everything Blood Elves have if not more before you get it through your thick head?

People saying Sandfury instead of Farraki will never cease to trigger me even though both are correct

Try orc
when you go green you no go back

:sweat_drops: :sweat_drops:

So, when are we getting blonde and orange hair?

Oh, we also need a toggle to turn tentacles on and off. That’s all.

Still good that they’re open to the idea of adding or implementing a more in depth HE system down the road.

Just my two sense.

I plan to, I actually have been trying to decide how many and what classes.

I have more than just elves anyway though.

So much unnecessary whining… If eye colors are themes, you have green and gold, two themes. Fel, and light. Happy?

Shaman
Be like Thrall
Not Go’el, Thrall.
If you get the “of the Frostwolves” title during WoD timewalking you get extra credit.

I’d say survival hunter is a good fit too, a warrior with a wolf pet, but survival is in a really weird spot now and SL isn’t changing anything. The devs don’t seem to know what they want to do with our spec.

i’m happy we finally can make our mostly helf looking velfs. its exciting. i thank the devs for their consideration and empathesize with the blood elves who would like ways to make them look unique. this is why i’m in support of customizations such as dark rangers, san’layn, and lightbased themes. its also why i support traditional blood elf/high elf themes, for blood elves, such as farstrider tattoos, light runes, light scars, kael’thas orbs in different colors based on class, and full body spellbreaker shields. oh and freckles as an option.

i also am in support of blood elves getting more hairstyles, haircolors and eyecolors.

erm, so its not all helfers who are freaking out about belfs asking for a second theme. as far as i’m concerned you could have more than a second theme, a third or even fourth theme, and it would be no problem for me. this is why i dont mind asking for additional classes for blood elves also. your happiness does not make me unhappy. as long as what i have is close enough to what i wanted, its all good.

This has nothing to do with me telling you again and again that you will get almost everything or everything Blood Elves have if not more.
