Forsaken sub-race!

If one was old enough, it’s conceivable that they could’ve been a Night Elf, High Elf, Blood Elf, and Void Elf all in one lifetime. They’d be like “yeah, I’ve been all over the elf pool :sunglasses:”

Why stop there? Perhaps a particularly old elf remembers being a Troll!

Don’t know if any living Night Elves were Dark Trolls in their lifetime, but that would be something, wouldn’t it.

I remember having only two toes per foot. It’s a little strange to think about now though.

I made a mockup of a look I might rock in Shadowlands.

Wait what? I’m super confused. Why do the blue eyes make sense and not the green eyes? Why would the void completely takeover fel eyes but not arcane?

I’m not saying that all of this customization has to have lore justifications, but it doesn’t make sense to have one and not the other.

Shadowsword Commander has those eye tattoos like Sylvanas

What on Azeroth are you talking about, I never left

Woah, in that case then, remove Priest from VE, and to make it fair, remove Paladins from BE

And yet, this proves absolutely nothing. Vareesa Windrunner is still the leader of the Silver Covenant and she is as more Anti-Horde as any Alliance player.

They spent a lot of time making sure Night Elves can look like this box art.

So I’m sure they will make sure that Blood Elves can look like this box art.

Preferable where the tattoos can glow if you want.

I’m also sure all races are getting scars and I’m hoping they add some damaged ear options.

Aside from that they need to add something cool like Dark Ranger/Forsaken.

Oh I’d be happy with scars for BE’s

Oh wait, they look like runic markings

This toon? Blue eyes (purple if that’s an option for me.)

I’ll also have a hunter high elf who is an SI:7 agent working for the Shattered Hand. (double agent)

Thinking he’ll use a darker skintone, blue eyes and dark hair.

My pally might change her hair but I like most everything else about her so she’ll stay the same mostly.

Same with my priest.

The rogue? Not sure yet. Been thinking of changing her skintone and probably a lighter green eye.

Also IF dark rangers skins are added I’ll have a dark Ranger Warlock, who was originally a hunter but was skilled in alchemy and poisons so was assigned to assist the Apothecaries where he learned warlock magic.

Sure is underwhelming.

Hope we get Dark Fallen stuff!

Now that I think about it, I feel like I recall them giving an actual number for how many new customization options BEs were gonna get. And I remember it being like
Really high. Like 40 or something? Definitely more than they’ve shown so far. Which makes me think a lot more is still coming.

Am I completely crazy and remembering this wrong or does this ring a bell to anyone else?

Is it? They said “40 options” back then. So far we got:

  • 4 new skins, not counting twice per gender
  • 6 new hairstyles (3 per gender), not counting the bald ones or the short female one.
  • 3 new hair colors, not counting twice again.
  • 2 new ear sizes, not counting twice.
  • 13 new eye colors to select
  • 3 new beards for males
  • 3 new earrings for females
  • 3 new necklaces for females
  • 6 body jewelry options for females (scrapped)
  • 6 bracelets for females (Not counting because lame, and I feel it will be scrapped)

That’s 37 customization options, not counting the scrapped and probably scrapped ones.

There are some things that I feel likely to happen still:

  • (Very likely) Jewelry selecion between gold and silver. Datamined silver textures and texture rework on last build suggest this. This essentially doubles the amount of jewelry. This may also be implemented together with a return of body jewelry (which had silver variants) and a new implementation of bracelets.
  • (Likely) Scars like night elves. I feel almost every non-furred race will get those after each race gets its first turn. Blood elf scars could include runic scarrification like in the TBC box art.
  • (Maybe) Tattoos, due to player feedback
  • (Maybe) Red eyes, due to player feedback
