New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

If they give Dark Rangers to Forsaken it’s the more unlikely route and I’ve seen a lot of Forsaken fans not want their race to be another branch of Elf which is fair, but if they did, I would still want to know where is Blood Elves second distinct visual theme.

I guess the convo would move specifically to San’layn, and Felblood for me. Though I much prefer the idea of an AR for San’layn.

And the DR customization fans are a lot of BEs so I will be annoyed I have to race change. But yes I would still want BEs to have their visual themes be on the same footing as VEs can choose Void and non Void. But Dark Ranger is my favorite and most lore friendly to do so and most likely imo.

Where were the Hozen, the MU Mag’har Orcs, the Dragonmaw Orcs and the Taunka? Absolutely no one would think they suddenly stopped being Horde factions simply because they didn’t show up during BFA. Unless it’s in their interest to push that idea, ofc.

Yeah, we have been over this a million times, but sadly people rather believe in headcanon instead of in current in-game lore.

That’s your personal consideration, of course. Not canon or official.

What other theme would you suggest they get? And not everyone has got two themes; some actually got more than just two(Trolls), though. Light stuff, maybe? I don’t thinks Fel theme would be very possible anymore, and that’s basically the only other thing I can think of.

I think they are technically neutral, but they’re Alliance leaning. I wish Blizzard would just update their lore and say they’re officially aligend with the Alliance again, though.

Also, daily reminder, Blizzard: We need blind eye options on our Void Elves. It looks like you’re giving Nightborne and Kul Tiran them, so why not Void Elves? Everyone has them, actually.

In that case they’d be technically doing a very bad job at being neutral. You don’t kill people of a certain faction and yell at the Stormwind guards for help if you’re neutral.

PS: Not going to bother with this fruitless topic, so Bro you can have the final word if that makes you happy.

I think they’re doing a terrible job at it too. Their ballistas were at Orgrimmar, right? They were ready to help the Alliance take down the Horde. It still doesn’t mean they’re not neutral though.

Yet an AR receives a second theme? And the AR that mirrors them on the opposite faction that no other race has this exact situation? Yes I think a second visual theme for BEs is reasonable and called for.

Light features can be done but it’s already our theme since BC when the Sunwell was purified and the BEs redeemed, if our theme started differently by the end of the expansion it made a shift and that is now lore wise our theme. And no most people don’t consider eye color variants a theme.

As far as what I recommend that is why I back Dark Ranger options so much I think besides it being a personal want of mine since Cataclysm and many people wanting them since Wrath as well, it’s also the most likely and workable situation for Blizzard.

But in the random off chance they go to Forsaken despite more support for them going to Blood Elves, I would say if San’layn still have not received anything at that point I’d lobby more so for that route before Felblood I don’t know much about.

Yes, expanding on their Light theme is a possibility. I made a mockup that adds some gilded bits to their ears and some glowing Light tattoos.

I think that can be argued for already as just more features.

I mean visually we should have a distinct new theme that can fit, and see skin tones as well, so Dark Rangers can fit this best, just like VEs can be Void and Non Void.

If you made them completely infused with the Light I mean I guess, like Kyrian blue, but make it golden light elves? But currently some light tattoos I see just as features that are already our theme.

I don’t really see the golden skin tone in this though I have to be honest it just looks like a skin tone we have in our pallet we have already. But I like the tattoos but I still see them as features they can give us anyways when and if they give us tattoos.

Out of all those groups, the only ones who are horde factions were the Dragon maw Orcs who have a representative in legion.
Hozen? nowhere
Taunka? Nowhere
MU mag’har orcs? They stayed home until we rescued them and they officially joined us as a part of the Horde.
You cited the one group that shows the difference between “oh yeah im helping them to help them with this issue” and “I am an official part of the horde” which under mines your argument.

Current in game lore has khadgar in charge of the kirin tor, and declaring neutrality. Current in game shows the SC is nowhere to be found in assisting the alliance in any capacity.
So how are the SC an alliance faction when they never do anything for the faction during the faction war?

Let us use logic.
The silver covenant you claim is super important is holding the portal for WotLK era Dalaran, but instead of the Sunreavers in ogrimmar, you have Argent dawn.

At some point you’re going to have to consider something does not appear to be parallel.

That was my thinking but what do I know?

None of the other races share an appearance on the alliance.
Hence Lann’s point

I wasn’t saying it was unreasonable? I was just pointing out that not every Core Race got a new theme.

San’layn would be your next choice? I think they’d honestly make an awesome addition to Blood Elf stuff. I’d handle them the same way Void Elves are, and give them their own little settlement somewhere near Quel’thalas.

You made this stuff? That’s pretty impressive, lmao. Those tattoos literally look better than the stuff Blizzard gave to LFD  I’d love this, tbh.

I have no idea what this has to do with what I said.

You brought up how every race has two themes.
That doesn’t matter though, because none of those races share their themes with another race on the opposing faction. It is why developing stuff is easy.
Hence, why Lann insists on it being very distinct with dark rangers or Light stuff.
There was one idea to take fel blood elves look, make it light based.
Holy elves

I don’t dislike light ideas. But I don’t like them over Dark Ranger implementation.

But I would accept it as a second visual theme if we got golden skin tones, like you touched some treasure and turned to gold level of golden. Like how Void Elves are blue, or Kyrian are blue. Like Golden yellow I am holy skin tones, with varying degrees like Somands might be the lesser extent of it, to more so.

That I could see as a second visual theme.

The funny thing is, I just reshaped, resized and recoloured an LFD tattoo with GIMP and put it on a belf for this. The gilded ear parts come from the gold plates on LFD skin.

I said the exact opposite of that?

I’d be cool with this idea. And I’m all for giving Blood Elves and whoever else their own distinct themes. Always have been and always will be.

I also just realized our new customization options will still be tied to the default voices of their races, so that’s kind of lame.

I think the point is though that Blood Elves shouldn’t be one of the races that doesn’t have a second visual theme. Because they gave the AR VEs that directly parallel them two visual themes.

Ah, I must have misread then

It might be lame, but people tend to lock onto visuals more

Yeah. The lack of a proper Blood Elf female /roar drives me up the wall though.

I think they’ll likely get Dark Rangers. I don’t think everything will calm down though.
