New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

That’s exactly what I thought as well, full bearded Night Elf DH’s will look pretty much like one Satyr.

I loved these new Night Elf customizations , now Night Elves can finally look like proper Night Elves, the only thing missing is the fix for the male torso and of course a new city. :sob:

And they should I suppose. Night Elf + Fel = Satyr.

Hyjal would be a pretty sweet spot for the Night Elves to establish a new capital.

Tell that to the Shen’dralar.

Makes sense. Teldressil was always a strange cursed tree.

Agreed.

It was nothing more than a monument to Staghelm’s arrogance.

While beautiful I think Hyjal is a bit small ingame, but it surely could work alongside a deserved Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdoms revamp.

From my knowledge the article doesn’t say the high elves who left Quel’thas for not wanting to siphon magic were the same high elves that joined the Alliance. While I wouldn’t say it is impossible I also wouldn’t say that it is canon until we see actual evidence of this in game.

Many High elves who were not exiled, but remained with the Alliance have also expressed disapproval with siphoning magic from creatures as well, so I remain skeptical that this article is referring to the Quel’lithien elves themselves, and not just scattered remnants of High elven refugees around Azeroth.

It’s as ambiguous about that as it is about the number of elves remaining.

It’s not really important. Whether it’s an elf from quel’lithien lodge or just a High Elf wayfarer it’s a High Elf. They could be from any origin and they’re similar enough it doesn’t matter.

I think what made the Quel’lithien elves distinct for me was their choice to remain independent despite their exile. That as a portion of the elves who did return to Quel’thalas, they continued to uphold those beliefs by living in isolation instead of integrating into the Alliance.

But I also wouldn’t be surprised if any survivors did decide to join after the lodge’s ruin, as they clearly had very little love for Lor’themar.

The least they could have done was let me kill them.

I saw their rarespawn leader so often on my Alliance, but never on my Horde.

They don’t like Lor’themar. But they also actively get attacked by the Horde in Vanilla.

There is also the defunct Silvermoon Remant - https://wow.gamepedia.com/Silvermoon_Remnant

Would you like me to boop him on your behalf?

That would be lovely.

Pretty sure the rare spawn can be killed by Horde, and Alliance. Some NPCs were flagged for Horde because they held quest items as well.

But According to the wiki he’s still killable by either faction, but it could be wrong.

So many speculations for what this was meant for, I really wish it would have made it into the game.

Now he can, but he’s wretched. And I think a quest mob instead of a rarespawn.

In Vanilla though, he was friendly to all my Alliance characters.

Maybe he liked me?

That is literally one of the silliest things I have ever heard of dude.
if I have a friend in Italy, that does not make me loyal to Italy.

There were friendly with Alliance. I was so pumped for Quel’lithien lodge and that road leading north.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with how that ended up shaking out.

Felt like a waste to just turn them into Wretched to be mowed down in, what was it 1 or 2 quests?

I do not believe it was ever specified that the Highborne Mages were solely trainers. They joined the Night Elves and live in Darnassus and they are effectively the same race. “Highborne” refers to class status. Whereas Nightborne are a different race as they have been mutated by the Nightwell.

Having a quick glance in Chronicles, I only see this segment:
"Night elf culture and traditions were also in upheaval. The Highborne Shen’dralar sorcerers from Dire Maul had settled in Darnassus along with the Gilneans. Many night elves were wary of their guests. Both sets of newcomers dredged up painful memories from the past. The Highborne in particular were treated with suspicion and open hostility. During the War of the Ancients, their obsession with arcane magic had brought the Leigon to Azeroth. That was not a sin easily forgotten or forgiven, even after ten thousand years.

Tyrande Whisperwind did her best to ease her people’s fears and convince them of the necessity for having more allies. The night elves were in a fragile state, and with the Horde on a warpath, they needed help wherever they could find it. Now was not the time for isolation; it was the time for making new friends and reaffirming the night elves’ commitment to the Alliance."

If you have anything that specifically states that playable Night Elves mages are newly trained Night Elves that were not part of Eldre’thalas, I would be most interested.
