Did you look to your teachers for fashion inspo at school?
I’m on my phone under a blanket, so realistically no.

Yes, I do enjoy wearing a nice pair of suede slacks.
Do you wear them while smoking and drinking vodka and soda waters?
No, it’s not. We don’t need their eyes, their skin color, their arcane tatoos, not even their hairstyles or jewelry.
The difference between a common night elf and a highborne night elf is mostly fancier hairstyles and non-nature-based jewelry. A basic night elf looks wilder, that’s all.
Your misunderstanding is noted.
No, I want them to have arcane stuff based on Night Elf aesthetic.
Nightborne have a different look and feel to them.
The Shen’dralar have been integrated into Night Elven culture for years now with access to Night Elven crafters. They can easily have a different but still arcane look to the Nightborne.
Who are not the same race even anymore.
No, but my culture isn’t steeped in traditionalism.
Nuts.
Yes, I’m often on stage telling really terrible dad jokes and calling ppl sport with a leg raised on a stool.
So your teacher is Lancelot?
Er…
…
Pop pop?
You have done well, my pupil.
The Dhadgar is strong with you.
It’s a group that was used as a convenient way to give Night Elves mages (despite being horrendously out of character given their history and distaste for arcane magic, and that they exiled an entire sect of their people for continuing to practice it) at a time when they were looking to expand class options across the entire game.
I don’t believe any race has customizations that come from a single class that have been added to be applied to the entire race. Shen’dralar simply aren’t separate enough (and indeed why a “Highborne” model doesn’t exist, almost universally using a standard Night Elf model) to merit additional options.
It does look like it when people say Blizzard didn’t care for blood elf customization here, which is clearly false. Blizzard gave them exactly what was commonly asked for in the forums.
ANd what a Shen’dralar looks like?
And yes, there’s some highborne options. The new skins, eye colors and some old and new hair styles fit them perfectly, as well as some of the new jewelry. You can look a lot like Nelf Azshara now. It’s just that there’s not a lot of variation.
I mean, these look very highborny to me:
For instance, the first thread about new blood elf customization in MMO-C that I’ve seen in YEARS has been opened AFTER Shadowlands’ belf customization was out.
The helf discussion completely dominated the boards all this time. Now that Blizzard gave high elf looks to the blood elves is that people decided that they didn’t want that, after all.
Try to find a blood elf suggestion thread prior to April 2020. There will be little to none that isn’t just asking for blue eyes or similar stuff.
People sent Blizzard the wrong signs and are now complaining they weren’t heard. They were heard, Blizzard gave them exactly what was most asked for in the forums.
Yeah, sadly playable Night Elf Mages are basically about as in depth as playable Draenei Shaman.
Class specific customization has been a long requested thing also, that similarly has yet to materialize (Quivers, Tomes, etc.).
I’m all for more racial flavor, but it’s only ever been applied in broad strokes (Heritage Armor, Warfront Sets). Glyphs was the closest we got, but many of those aren’t even a thing anymore (Verdant Spheres glyph, etc.).
I’d love to see specific class race aesthetics worked in (Wardens, Blood Mages, Shen’dralar, etc.), but global character customization isn’t really the place to put that stuff. “Class Skins” was always the idea I had bounced around in the past. Basically Allied Race treatment to classes. Functionally the same, visually different.
Dark Rangers have been a long requested ask. Maybe not in the form of customization but this just seems the most likely route now all things considered.
I also do not think it matters when requests start but I’m pretty sure BE fans have wanted Farstrider tattoos etc for a long time.
As for Dark Ranger customization that should be implemented imo given what VEs have received and what HE fans still want in terms of what’s next for VE customizations they want.
Blood Elf fans are a large fan base too, so I don’t think the fact HE conversation dominated stuff up until a certain point really says anything. If anything it says BE fans are getting under your skin perhaps because we’re changing the conversation back to you know Blood Elf customization, which speaks volumes to the power / voice of BE fans imo. But there really isn’t any need for animosity between the two groups anyways but we have every right to be heard too.
Blizzard added them in, so some folk are going to want to play that. Nows the time to add this stuff. Definitely the time to ask. Just like asking for Dark Ranger options for Belfs. Which I’m also very for.
I don’t want Nightborne. I want Shen’dralar.
They’ve been mixed in with Night Elven society for years now, with access to their crafters. I’m thinking arcane gems in vine looking silvery metal jewelry. Not looking for much. Right now they have nothing that isn’t just regular night elf aesthetic.
And more as an aside than anything. More Eye colors.
Thats not highborne at all. Thats just a golden eyed woman with no hair and their regular tiara. Thats all Night Elf right there.
And Azshara, queen of the Highborne, was just a night elf as well.
False.
People asked for dark skin back when Blood Elves were getting remade during WoD.
Our cries across social media fell on deaf ears. I’d say that Blood Elf players gave up hope once the model was released.
I for one have never wanted blue eyes—Blizzard said all Elves in Quel’thalas had their eyes turn green. Ergo there’s no need.
Some people wanted them because they wanted to be pUrE and didn’t care about lore.
Blaming Blood Elves for giving up instead of spamming thread after thread on the forum with demands when we didn’t get brown skin in 2015 is slightly similar to victim blaming.
You know what golden eyes mean for Night Elves?
Its just a marker for greatness. Nothing more.
Shen’dralar are all Night Elves. I mean culture though. Nothing shown is Highborne culture in any way. Its the current Night Elven culture only. See how Aszhara has arcane gems and such?
Again. I’m not looking for much. Nothing that has yet been shown has any actual relation to the Shen’dralar any more than it does for any other regular Night Elf.
What craters? They were a tiny group living in squalid hovels barely ekeing out an existence for 10,000 years. I really doubt that of the few left any are skilled silversmiths.
No I mean after Cata, the Night elven crafters. They would have had access to them so their “arcane” jewelry would have been marked by Night Elven Druidic/Elune based society. So I want something more akin to the Night Elven aesthetic with actual arcane gems worked in.
Again not looking for much and I do not want the same thing the Nightborne have. (again except those ear armors cause what long eared race wouldn’t develop armor for their ears?)
