New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

No, both races will have access to the new skin colors.

Hey now! We don’t want him either.

No argument here.

Yeah but the Belfs don’t get the purple blue skins. To my knowledge.

this makes no sense, why do void elves now all of a sudden get normal skin tones? I thought they were corrupted by the void and were physically changed from its effects… but now they can just literally be a blood elf? this is so dumb, just get rid of factions at this point honestly. Alliance cries enough and finally gets their way with playable blood elves so stupid

thats a yikes

I’m asking where the darker variants originate from, not the void berries.

Ohhhh I gotcha.

There’s a comic that shows off dark skins so while rarer they have existed in lore.

Blue eyes.

We did it and anyone mad can stay salty!

You pretend like they can’t learn how to control their void abilities and be able to revert like Alleria? Did you also forget about Locus-walker as well? You know the guy who taught her how to control and subdue her void abilities. It wouldn’t be something of a wild card for them to revert or at least control the void in them.

If you are gonna get all RP-ey I have to tell you this character has never used the void, he’s just a dalaran High Elf so…

Also I so called we were getting “We aRe ThE TrUe HiGh ElVes!!11!” discourse

For the record, you are a Blood Elf.

Oh come on, this is just a silly argument; Yes, every* -well, most- faction leaders have unique models, but they still fit in within the aesthetic parameters of their race! The only exception was Sylvanas, who was an undead elf.

Alleria is rn the only racial leader that looks like another race altogether. Now she just will have an unique model rather than unique coloring, like pretty much every other racial leader.

You are arguing against the fact that VE’s will be able to look more like Alleria. It’s not even a debate. You say she looked so different “to set her apart” when that was not true for every other racial leader BUT Sylvanas. What’s even your argument here?

Void Elves are getting more skin tones, and Alleria being referred in game and lore as a Void Elf pretty much says “being blue” is not a requisite to call yourself Void Elf in universe, so again, do you have anything close to a valid point?

It does seem like Void Elves are being given a LOT of our Blood Elf options and we’re not getting that much. I’m super happy for blue eyes…but I see your point. If they gave Blood Elves more hairstyles that would make me feel better about this. I personally don’t want Void Elves to look anymore like Blood Elves…they shouldn’t get our hair colors or our hairstyles.
And for that reason I wouldn’t want anything that the void elves have…let us keep as much difference between the races as we can get, imo.

I don’t even play Alli and I’m legit happy for you guys. GJ, Blizz.

Mm, interesting, I’m keen to learn more.

Draenei and Man’ari are both Eredar. Much like how Void Elves and Blood Elves are both “High Elves” after a fashion.

Man’ari are the red skinned Eredar who joined the Legion. Draenei, the blue skinned variation, are also Eredar but instead are exiles or outcasts.

That said the Draenei stopped referring to themselves as Eredar largely due to the negative connotations and associations. The majority of the Eredar were now Man’ari, “unnatural beings,” and thus most people associated Eredar with demons; the Draenei wanted nothing to do with that moniker.

At the base level, though, they both started as Eredar and the Draenei have just adopted a new title for various reasons (like how the Blood Elves renamed themselves).

You can have the Man’ari, though. I won’t begin to guess at how the lore would work for that but I’m not fussed as long as they make it work.

Personally, I don’t think it’d be too hard of a stretch. With Sargeras in Titan prison and the bulk of the Legion’s leadership slain, there’s bound to be power struggles and in-fightin’ for control.

Could either go with Man’ari who fled the in-fightin’ or became trapped on Azeroth when we slew Portal Keeper Hasabel.

Either way, it could be written as a group of Man’ari who at the very least don’t want to fight us anymore and Velen offers them a chance at redemption or be executed. Wouldn’t be the worst they’ve written these days.

Really, I just want to make a Warlock with the Eredar model.

I mean they could write it off as a bunch of Man’ari suddenly having amnesia and forgetting everything because “Sargeras’ power no longer oppresses us” and it wouldn’t be the worst thing they’ve written.

Two cheers for your Eredar/Man’ari Warlock. Hopefully you get it someday.

After a lot of forums posts thank you Blizzard for listening. Having these options for both sides is a great solution to all the requests on the forums.

Thank you to all the folks also who took the time and effort to make those forum posts. To everyone I’m grateful for this!
