The forsaken hate their existence as undead because it pulled them from the afterlife, and made them into the monsters.
They also make statements of “end my torment” in WC3 and “I hate what I’ve become”.
In WoW they also make comments about being undead being suckage.
Mind you though, hating yourself, and being honored to work with someone are exclusive. You can do both.
If I served someone loyally in life and they repaid that loyalty by ripping me from a peaceful afterlife to continue to serve them while also likely eternally damning my soul, I would definitely be mad.
Well a lot of her stuff was always framed as choosing to follow her was free will. BFA I don’t know, I can’t answer on the NEs predicament / why they were obedient that’s all speculation and I’m not much knowledgeable on them anyways or Sylvanas’s actual powers. I’m just saying loyal BEs would have an easier adjustment / make sense to be raised by Sylvanas.
Another voiceline, this one from Velonara
"I refuse to be a slave to this torment.
When asked about what she has become.
You: You sound as if you miss your previous life.Velonara: I was a maiden, pure and true. A young ranger in service of Silvermoon, betrothed to the nobleman of my dreams. Then Arthas came. I fell in battle as the mad prince cut a black scar through the land I loved. But at least I was at peace, I suppose. For a time.
Until the Banshee Queen pulled me back from beyond and damned my soul into her service. You’ll have to pardon me if I have little patience for imbeciles like Moorgoth, who take for granted what they have and think to find happiness in pain."

Forsaken and the Dark Rangers again seem separate groups Dark Rangers seem very over zealous eager and loyal. I see no indication someone loyal in life would be mad at having been raised by Sylvanas. Being raised by Arthas is a different story for why you’d be mad but we’re talking about Sylvanas raising loyal BEs in the last war.
The quote I provided above is from Velonara, and she is fiercely loyal to Sylvanas.
Now mind you, I am not saying it isnt possible, but there haven’t been any undead, outide the bad guys we kill, that find undeath a gift.
Omg yas! I am so happy for Night Elves rn!

But the circumstances of her death and being raised is different then a BE of the fourth war who knows they would likely be raised if they died.
If I’m serving Sylvanas I would assume she would raise me upon death if I was one of her champions. If i was random Tauren soldier 117 at the battle of UC, okay maybe not but she doesn’t show favoritism to them unfortunately or fortunately depending on your outlook.
If you’re a loyalist and a BE and survived the events of UC I think it’s safe to say you’re okay with undeath.
Oh I am not disagreeing with the possibility at all Lann, and far be it for me to tell you how to interpret it.
If you want to be a dark ranger who likes being undead and likes sylvanas, go for it.
A burly night elf option would be awesome. A shame they don’t. They need more options like that to look savage and feral.

Well I am just trying to paint the picture it can make sense and it is a solid request especially with emphasis on player agency and choice.
I really want that one hair style. In that colour too
Kind’s of actually reminds me what my hair looks like, minus the pony tail ofcourse, but it is my favourite style.

Yeah, it’s pretty fresh. I’m loving the more refined styles for them. My favorite part is the leaves.

They aren’t adding body types.
BUt I suspect we may see it in a future expansion…

I love all the options Blizzard is coming up with every race in game. It is really giving us a lot more variety to pick from.

Indeed, as excited as I am for Void Elves and Blood elves, I’m also very eager to see what the other races will recieve, as I’m also liking what I’m seeing for Draenei. I do also hope the other Allied Races get some love, especially the rest of the first batch as they were even worse off than Blood Elves, so I hope to see more customization for them as well.

I agree with you it is certainly possible and solid yes.

I am currious on what sort of customisations every other AR is going to get. Especially Nightborne and Highmoutain Tauren.

I’d wager most of them will simply inherit the options that their parent races are getting where possible.
Nightborne really need more than just copypastas from Night Elves, but having some inherited skin tone and hair color options is a start. Sharing some hairstyles from other races to give them a broader selection would also help a bit. But beyond that, they need work specific to them so they can look more like their NPC’s and be all around more aesthetically appealing.

They got the bald option, didn’t they?
Pretty sure everybody got that.
