The Farraki aren’t even a part of the Horde… Still wondering how they going to go with that.
The Dark Rangers are a part of the Horde, and while the Blood Elves dont like the idea of their kin being raised, a whole lot were, by the Scourge, and they are now free serving with the Forsaken. Players want to play em.
Its really not much different than Sand trolls or Wildhammer.
Though Dark Ranger should be a class and the look of the Fallen Elves should be the racial skintones and eyes and such.
Thats my view though. Just don’t see it as any different. Its for Customization option to give players more.
Also as a side note, who says Sylvanas didn’t just not give a butt and raised some during BfA?
Honestly though, I just don’t get the arguments of the Anti’s. It is either there now upset that timmy got the same toy, or they’re upset because of a decission by Blizzard, not the playerbase.
Because she is Warchief, and BEs are one of the main faces of what you think of loyalists. It makes more sense for a loyal BE to be raised in service of their Warchief they support, them random NE NPCs that’s for sure.
And Sylvanas’s behavior indicates she’s always thought of Quel’thalas as her home which further supports the fact she’s undead yes but still considers herself apart from the average Forsaken.
And furthering that why would the Undead NEs leave the Forsaken to seek help if they identify as undead/just Forsaken. They don’t, their Forsaken Night Elves and they as a group leave after the war, they don’t stay with the Forsaken who are just undead presumably former members of Lordaeron.
I agree…and they were Elves but the only place they were was with Sylvanas in UC before this last exp. I can see why they could go as an Undead option but since their appearance is more Blood Elfy it probably makes more sense for Blood elves.
I still…just don’t know. lol
Sylvanas wasn’t Warchief in SoO in MoP. So what is your massive point you think you made? Besides arguing against BE customization many BE fans have expressed support for.
Yeah its a rather tricky matter. SHe does not seem to care for anyone and yet she meets you at her home. It might be some significance buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, the loyalist line was never intended and thrown together last minute.
If you know the difference between Blood Elves and High Elves then it’s pretty sad that they’re arguing about it.
Blood Elves aren’t High Elves.
From my perspective for a long time, the people who have argued against High Elves are trying to pretend like Blood Elves aren’t Blood Elves and seeing playable ones running around would shatter this illusion.
Which is absurd. Blood Elves got defanged after BC anyways.
Does Nathanos consider his Ranger Forsaken Dark Rangers? I’ve always wondered. He trained them and used em in Stormheim at least…
The way Sylvanas is, was… Will be. I don’t doubt that whatever she said to Lor’Themar its not out of the question she’d raise em behind his back without a second thought.
So I’ve got some real life friends who are vehemently anti-High-Elf…
and in every case they’re absolute Horde Loyalists.
Most of it is just about keeping the Alliance from getting something.
The rest usually fall under, “They’re trying to make us the bad guys!”
Which is ignoring that even though Horde “Morally Grey” is blacker than black, Blood Elves are morally grey. They’re not the bad guys. They did a bunch of stuff to survive.
I’ve never really seen any deviation from those two things.
Not anymore, because in this context we’re discussing Shadowlands changes.
Then if/when the NE Rangers are actually allowed to rejoin the living Night elves, and are a subgroup within the race, then we can discuss undead dark rangers rejoining the living Blood elf race of Quel’thalas.
Until then, they’re purely Forsaken, or Sylvanas’ own rangers, and should remain so.
The insinuation is you think of yourself as Forsaken first. But again current lore shows the Night Elf Dark Rangers think of themselves as separate and removed and leave with Calia.
Sylvanas always considered Quel’thalas her home still as well. So the implication I want to point out is you can be Undead and be an Elf therefor the customization isn’t a reach to say it should go to BEs the parent race that the Forsaken Blood Elves would identify with.
Well for context the people she raised in the fourth war were while she was Warchief so if you choose an option that in the scenario BEs get undead options you’d assumably have been one of those. So again what is your point?
I don’t need your permission, I and many others are already discussing it now.
