I think lore wise Nightborne going Horde was the right thing. Despite the model controversy I would be upset had they gone Alliance. They have more in common with their BE kin than their NE kin. And Suramar lore wise is a magical boon for Horde which I like too.

But are you saying undead options for BEs is pushing a negative idea for BEs? There are BE fans who are fans of that I don’t think it’s to push a evil BE narrative though. That is something I and others do really want.

There are still other issues where the requests clash. I mean, I still think the elf swap was a bad idea that wasn’t necessarily the best one for the story. And that this decision makes it more likely to be detrimental to the story from my POV.

and Void Elves exist… and Void Elves suddenly having fleshtones isn’t going to change the story any.

(and as a side note, it’s really wonderful how so many of these discussions of how to go further with the options end up with all these ways to basically purify the Void Elves and add more stereotypical corrupted elements to the Blood elves.)

Yea the Night Elf options are stunning. The super bushy eyebrows are… interesting, but I mean hey, its optional so whatever. But man, those hairstyles, the jewelry, the leaves… It’s perfect. It’s what I’ve always wanted for my Resto Druid.

Why would Sand Trolls be Darkspear playable characters?

Those trolls are near identical biologically, thus fit as a subgroup, where Dark rangers are dead and raised elves. Why’s that unacceptable for Blood elves you ask?? well…

During the MoP Siege of Orgrimmar, Sylvanas suggests that she raises any Blood elves that fall during the attack, and Lor’themar literally threatens to kill her on the spot if she attempts it. Why would he, or any living Blood elves be okay with that now all of a sudden?

Not necessarily. I mean, I know there are people who have wanted those themes for a while. It’s when they are paired with a list of options for void elves that are nearly devoid of anything that expends any actual art effort on the void aspect. There’s some people who have this idea of how the HE are all noble and virtuous and are trying to change the way things currently are, where the alliance ended up with what can be call the most ‘corrupted’ of the thalassian model and the horde has the one closest to traditional.
