You do honey roasted?
Would you like that with brown sugar or regular granulated?
Blood sugar.
Uhhh⌠Looks around and drags a poor civilian outside of the Stormwind Gates. âNo witnesses.â *She slits his throat and collects the blood that gushes from his neck. She walks after an hour to booty bay and starts to make ruby popcorn. âPOPCOOOOORN! Get yer popcorn here! Might give yaâ a boost taâ intelligence!.â
OiâŚ
Talk about a cut throat business.
Ba dum tiss~ :3
Itâs 8 in the morning, my ability to make one liners is limited. Please donât allow this to blemish an otherwise strong record.
You a EU person or something? Its literally almost 7 pm EST.
This is deeply offensive.
It was just a question. . . If I wanted to be offensive I would of thrown out horrible jokes and a ton of satire. Iâm genuinely curious is all.
Heâs an upside down person.
Person is a strong word.
You know what, FIGHT ME!
Outside the gravelly at Lithgow staysh?
I was just pulling the piss man, Iâm Australian.
You canât be serious. Mists of Pandaria had more High Elf development then Legion did.
Prepatch
- When the demons attack the Keep in Stormwind, if you wander to the library, a high elf, Magus Solgaze, is there and explains that she was doing research for the Ranger-general.
- Silver Covenant is defending Dalaran from demons above Karazhan.
- Silver Covenant rangers and Vereesa get new voice lines.
7.0
- The Silver Covenant is one of the reckognized four great ranger orders that join with the Unseen Path, with the Sentinels, Farstriders and Dark Rangers.
- Vereesa and the Silver Covenant are responsible for leading us to Thasâdorah.
- Vereesa is one of the main heroes of the Hunter campaign. Including the final fight against Hakkar.
- Unscrupulous adventurers encounter: a 5-man party of Alliance adventurers, including a high elf healer.
7.1
- Suramar campaign. Silver Covenant is present in the elven assault. Take the side of the Alliance.
- Nighthold cinematic: Vereesa is shown to be there when Illidan is freed.
- All racials leaders of the assault, Horde on one side, Alliance on the other:
7.3
- Vereesa is, once again, present in the Alliance experience to find Alleria.
- Alleriaâs design: no hint whatsoever of void elf. No changed skin, blonde hair, blue eyes, green and golden gear. Nothing that would go on as a base for void elves. Purely high elf aesthetics.
- Danuser Interview: âWith Alleria Windrunnerâs story being an internal success on Argus, the team saw it as the opportunity for a new twist on elvesâ. So, letâs get it straight: all other three allied races were seeded over Legion, even the lightforged draenei were hinted at in 7.0, and yet the void elves were only thought after 7.3 was mostly done? I donât buy it. Itâs clear they replaced something else, and that something could only have been high elves.
So, Iâll reaffirm it: the storyline of Legion was built up for Alleriaâs return, and she would become the leader of the high elves. In alpha, she even appeared with Turalyon in his message to Arator (Paladin campaign) before being removed mysteriously. The void angle was a late addition, and the void elf idea only appeared after Alleriaâs story was fleshed out for 8.3. But Allied Races were already been fostered before that.
And the 4th one was high elves before Blizzard changed plans.
Why would we be upset when our leader Alleria has blond hair.
Suggestion for Blizz:
HE Skin colour release to also include a short quest similar to some of the Cataclysm class/race combo quests intro (eg. the NE mage)
It can be pretty short with simply an NPC informing the player that an accident occurred that has caused a large group of Silver Convenant High Elves to be affected by the Void and require Alleriaâs training to manage. Hell, throw in Sunreavers as the cause of the incident as revenge for the Dalaran purge or whatever.
This solves a few issues about Void Elves:
- They now have representatives of former High Elves who never defected the alliance i.e. political aspect
- They also have former High Elves that did NOT willingly practice Void magic (which is as bad as practicing Fel magic the Blood Elves went down). i.e the âmagic moralisticâ aspect - this is where the High Elves wayfarers in telogrus fall short I feel.
- They have a lot of ties to the Alliance in terms of history instead of the tenuous link the current Void Elves have. This also means all future Silver Convenant / High Elves characters can be Void Elves with a much richer history/relationship. Hell, make some notable High Elves involved in the incident that turned them to Void Elves (unwillingly ok?)
- We can pretend the crack squad is a minority (or I will anyway)
You can also have separate quests for Dwarves and Trolls representing a significant group of Wild Hammer and the various troll groups joining the Bronze Beard and Darkspear Trolls.
I do not think such quests require much resource. As all you need is an NPC informing the player that the above has occurred. This makes it more immersive for players rather than having to head cannon themselves without spending too much resource on a quest.
