New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

I’m arguing with what’s on the table

everything blizzard has put here is justified

Now blizzard can do something else and say we will go sub races so they can separate them from the elfs voids, to give an example

which I don’t think will happen

That’s fine. It’s an option. But it’s only that. Until Blizzard says otherwise then Void Elves are High Elven Wayfarers, or just High Elves joining the race, or whatever else. We can’t say because they haven’t said.

They could even be neither of those things and it could be, “By the way some of them are the same color.”

We don’t know. So arguing about it like you’ve got a developers statement behind your words is misleading.

Most of those threads don’t last, nor receive the same support as before.

I don’t speak for everyone. But I know most are really happy about it. Being happy is not the same as being satisfied.

Why? There’s still things to discuss. Now that we got them, it’s time to aim for more void elf customization.

Thought, I admit, I’d like to see it focused on one single thread instead of all the ones still around.

I’m no one to take for granted that it’s official

but at least I try to argue with information that has been given to us

Therefore, if you do not believe that it is so, I invite you to put your opinions, not your wishes, because I see almost nothing that indicates that they are placing them as independent races.

Until they say one way or another then we don’t know.

But people are going to keep requesting playable High Elves. So… it’s kind of moot.

Either they’re folding High Elves into Void Elves… or they aren’t and being are gonna keep asking for High Elves. Doesn’t really matter.

I’m just discussing what’s been added

if there are people who after that ask the high elves as a new AR, they have the right to ask for it as they have been for the last 15 years

And Blood Elves had glowing green eyes due to fel corruption. What’s your point?

Not all Void Elves have tentacles. Fel Blood Elves and Sin’dorei Demon Hunters have demon parts. Are they not the same race?

Quel’Danil elves gave up magic entirely.

A quote from an Elf that continued to feed off of arcane magic isn’t exactly conclusive evidence.

The answer is that we don’t know.

The statement from Blizzard tells a group of people they’re going to be happy about Void Elf skin colors. So we know it’s an attempt by blizzard to appease the High Elf playerbase…

and obviously Wildhammer customizations are supposed to represent Wildhammer Dwarves.

And Forest Troll customizations are obviously supposed to represent Forest Trolls… like… they weren’t going through and saying, “We really need to throw in some customizations so that all ethnicities can create a character that they vibe too. So we need green Trolls to make all the green people on earth feel included.”

Green Troll customization is so that someone can play a Forest Troll if they want…

So it’s just kind of insane to think that Blizzard is like, “Here you go. You can play the races you want.”

and have someone really get into the weeds about why you can’t play a High Elf because of some really finite lore reasons.

Calli, I’ve explained the difference to you. If you’re just going to go “but blood elves” then it is quite clear you’re not interested in having an honest discussion.
Devs said its a visual taint, not corruption or change.

Absolutely doesn’t matter. They are still physiologically changed where as blood elves and green orcs werenot.

Demon hunters are not the same race anymore. That is correct.
Just like death knights are an undead.
Blood elf Death knight = death knight who has a blood elf body
The latter word is the species, the former is the type of DK.

Which doesn’t mean anything. Not using magic doesnt mean you stop being connected to the sunwell. Simple.

Dev statements > yours.

Give up the ghost dude. Its tiresome.

Green Eyes and Green Skin are physiological changes.

Yeah man. Bring some Dev Statements and we’ll talk.

Per the devs, they are not.
Dev word > yours.

Why? So you can ignore it?
You couldn’t even take the words of a dev who designed a character model. Why would I bother bringing up the same reference when you’re just going to go into denial and ignore it?

To be honest, its my error engaging you. I should know better.

I should really get in the game here and start pretending like everything that I think is backed up by developer statements without ever citing the developer statements or by wildly taking them out of context.

Ah yes, here we go.

“The devs never said that, you don’t have a source” (even though its been shown to you repeatedly you forget).
OR
“its out of context!” (despite it addressing that very issue. Such as the kinda are statement where you based it off your English class).
OR
“well they’re wrong”. (Femur argument)

Its like a choose your own adventure where no matter the choice, you get the same bad ending.
So…why should I go through the whole thing, with references and quotes you’ve seen time and time again, only for you to deny their validity?

Like I said, my bad for engaging you Callistus.

My bad for engaging my stalker?

Also you get called out on developer comments and complain and try to change the subject.

I honestly usually don’t bother reading what you say now that I know who you are, but you were spreading some misinformation so I countered it.

Best not to ask him for dev statements, he could pull a Fyre and only part-quote what a dev says.

So…someone who engages in the same debates as you do…is your stalker? That isn’t an appropriate thing to call someone, so I will tell you now to not do so again.

That explains everything dude. Like I said, why would I reference the same developer statements that we have gone over since last year, only for you to shake your head and refuse to acknowledge them? Not doing it again.

So you and Sara can continue trying to provoke it but, I am not engaging in a fruitless discussion with you.

The trick is in just being selective about things really. You quote an interview about Blood Elf eye color back in the day, but then ignore Warcraft Chronicles and the lore.

So if you’ve got developer comment from 2006 that’s not directly contradicted, even if it’s contradicted by the lore on other things, then you can selectively ignore it to make your argument.

Cue long arguments about Warcraft cosmology.

So anyway, about these new options.
I can see void elves getting jewelry in the future. Doesn’t seem like an issue since it wouldn’t be hard to create new assets. You just take the blood elf ones, modify them to be a different color or tweak them and not worry about have to mess with geosets since it already fits.

Mmm. I believe I saw someone request that you not call them dude earlier and you continued to do so… so someone who creepily follows me around forums and brings up random things from previous conversations is pretty stalkerish.

Pretty creepy.

Still dodgin’.

Sounds like narcissism on your part dude.

Maybe Somand can get you two to chill. Since…you know…you feel its appropriate to speak for her when she isnt present. I think that is pretty disrespectful.

Ah dang it, that was bait and I bit
