He’s not the one who was pushing for new important roles for a faction of the high elf race?
So where did he say that? Because seeing him post here and elsewhere its seemed pretty clear to me that he’s complaining about the fact that the void elves are now the superior option for elves since they have a wider range of options. And if you don’t need Blizz to hold your hand with explicit lore, than none of the ‘difference’ really come into play on the discussion of playable models.
Does it address my point about the unique theme no longer being unique? It doesn’t.
You’re kind of proving my point Sara.
This doesnt work when we have a quote system demonstrating where you make characters to mock people on the forums, and then brag about it to others Sara. <_<
Doesn’t look good when you try to say its my logic, when its clearly yours.
Just saying.
No. He acts like customization options are important to the models in the game, and that right now the core race is a lesser version of the model because it has a wider range of options.
You and Muir are just trying to turn that into something nasty.
We know that Green and Golden Eyes are not being giving to the Void Elves, but as for other customisations, wouldn’t exactly confirm yet as to we don’t really fully know yet.
No, you both are acting all about skin colour. “Oh, the identity of the Blood Elf uniqueness is being given to the Void Elves”, as to skin colours that the Void Elves have been given. Don’t try and play on different words there Tarrok.
I mean…bringing up how it is a aspect, means it is part of a cohesive whole.
Question.
I have brought up the fact that blood elves are forced to share their theme, and in turn be inferior options to void elves.
Why i it that you and Muir refuse to address this argument, and instead, are complaining about it?
You’re essentially trying to invalidate my point, by using sensationalism of “you’re talking about skin tones!”.
I made some suggestions for how they could be different:
a set of possible customizations where they have some ethereal texture, like an ethereal arm or ethereal torso.
different idling animations.
different casting animations.
hair colors shared with gnomes instead of blood elves.
neon hair / eyes / markings
since belfs and humans are getting jewelry, i was thinking maybe velf customizations for jewelry could be space - related, like stars, sparkling stuff, planets revolving, that kinda thing.
And in a discussion of model options, how is that controversial or wrong? Void elves were given the same model and animations, and now they can look even more identical to blood elves, or like void elves, and blood elves can look like blood elves.
It just feels like there’s a lot of jumping back and forth between model talk and lore talk. And some of this feels like trying to pin a complaint about the disparity in model options that screws over the original into some sort of opposition to skin colors in a story context.
None of that changes the base aspect of what you arelooking at Hyper. Sorry.
The ideas are nice, and they are cute and I think theywould be good.
It still, unfortunately, doesnt address how blood elves don’t provide more than 1 theme, where as void elves provide 2.
If there is a way to make that discrepancy even i’d be fine with it.
Who has said it was controversial or wrong? You seem to have made up an argument in your head and are continuing to engage with it instead of what’s been stated in reality.
Or High Elves. Same as Void Elves.
Besides, a Void Elf can never look like an iconic Blood Elf - no matter how hard they try. Here are some examples of iconic Blood Elves.
