It kinda do in the sense that 1 race is spilt between Alliance by alliegeance. While the same race decided to go horde to break this same alliegeance. So where is your point

i donât feel like arguing its pointless. But, from a gameplay perspective your incorrect.
My BE mage will still be a BE mage to me. How does giving players more options (on both sides even!) hurt the story and lore? It doesnât. If anything, the writers themselves have done more damage to the story and lore in this expansion alone than they have with Cata and WoD combined.

I seriously checked the date on my computer to make sure it wasnât April 1st. This is amazing. Alliance players now have the ability to roleplay high elves! I consider this a win. Yes, the high elf support community was looking for a lot more, but this should give a majority of those players some closure!
I for one am ecstatic to play an alliance void elf priest that looks similar to the ones in WCIII! That was always my desire. I also have a mage alt that I will definitely be race changing to female void elf with purple eyes, just like the sorceress unit from WCIII.
This finally makes the high elf compromise (giving Alliance Void elves), a GOOD compromise!
We can actually look like our racial leader Alleria if we want, or we can continue to look like Umbric. I love having the options!

They have it now. Theyâre High Elves who almost became Ethereals. Some ended up getting changed very little.

Thatâs true for devs in the dev cycle everywhere, tbh. I donât think he was âlyingâ at any point. Heâs the spokesperson for the team consensus at the time. And THAT can change.
Iâll be honest. I donât like any of this. Making void elves have pale skin completely devalues them. Their entire point was to showcase corruption, and the wielding of dark cosmic powers in a manner thatâd be justifiable.
