And giving HE to the horde 15 years ago wasn’t?

So the whiny crying HEers finally got their wish. Well sorta. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. But enjoy your carbon copy BEs as VEs

Thank you so much Blizzard! This brings so much goodwill back.

Completely irrelevant to what I said. You now have the exact same model on both sides. One is the most popular model on the horde and the 2nd will most likely be it on the Alliance. So again if the same race/model is the majority on both sides, what is the point of factions? Not to mention it is now very likely that VE will have more customization options then BE do.

Exactly. This is dumb.

Lore. Aesthetic. Theme.

Also, remember Pandas exist.

Literally on the day I was going to unsub and go back to Guild Wars 2. Well, guess I’ll be sticking around for a bit, then.

Also, why are they giving Half Elf options to Horde and not Alliance?

Not Likely, if anything it’ll be about the same. Only real difference will be the jewelry that BE will be receiving.

Pandas are an entirely different thing. This is an elves and human topic.

Pandas were always neutral/both. BEs were not. Example doesn’t apply.

Oh boy people are actually… Complainin-Oh wait it’s Hordies.

Ya’ll realize Panda’s exist it’s just skintones as well the Blue-Eyes from what I can tell are of a different tone and the Hair Styles are still entirely different.

Guild War2 aestethic is nice but I still favor the first one

There’s only like 5 hair options with glowing tendrils and some of those are barely visible.

While I am an avid advocate of High Elves on the Alliance and frankly really don’t care for the void elves I have to say this is the WORST possible solution to this issue.

Racials still mean that even the pho-high elves are going to go all voidy and will void teleport, which hurts the fantasy of a high elf. You will also still start in telorgus rift and not have access to classes that high elves should have.

This robs the void elves of any real future as now they are just bad high elves. You can’t really have a story about these aberrations coming to terms with their new voidy existence when they are normal as can be most of the time if not always.

This also hurts any meaningful story that could be told about high elves in the alliance as they will just start springing from the ground (or barbershop most likely) whenever these customization options go live.

This also hurts Blood elves as they are having their customizations duplicated and sent to an allied race that will now have more options than them.

I have to ask though, why did we get void elves at all if the difference between them and high elves mattered so little that this was a viable option?

Lorewise High Elves were the same thing.

They dumbed it down too much a bit over half a decade ago. Now I pop back in because a homey quit WoW and I have meaningful progression again. I’m pretty happy about that. I think I’ll be moving back to GW2 for pvp, but keep my pve on WoW.

Love it! Good job, Blizz!

My only suggestion, please, push it a bit farther with these two races. Give void elves some non-voidy, high elfy hair styles so the Alliance can straight up play high elves, and give blood elves some options to look straight up San’layn. Boom, both sides are happy … well, you know, as happy as WoW players get.

I mean, it would be nice to have these two as actual races but there’s so many playable elves as it is. I think this would be a perfectly cromulent compromise.
