New Covenant Mounts Coming in Chains of Domination

I’m beginning to suspect that people on the forum are… really, really dumb.

How dare Blizzard not waste resources and put their designers through busywork making bundles of identical skeletal riggings from the ground up that serve absolutely no purpose. Let’s ignore all the work and cool designs the art team have done to actually have something of substance to put around said skeletons, no, absolutely no one goes after mounts because of their looks. The rigging is the only thing that matters.

Blizzard should also stop wasting resources on armor reskins, there’s only four skeletons in the game, one for each type, no one has gone after a piece of armor in the game ever just because of how it looks. No one cares about looks or Transmog, give us more armor skeletons and less clutter with your aesthetics.

And don’t get me started on weapon skeletons…

It was a sarcastic exaggeration…

Exaggerating implies, well, exaggeration.

Not being completely wrong.

For Shadowlands… questing set, covenent set, and raiding set. Then several recolors. Lets compare that to mounts shall we? Covenent mounts, recolor mounts, tree mount, blanchy, world mounts, golden ox… The list goes on.

There are more mounts than armor sets… “I” don’t need anymore, I’d rather have some variety on the gear side. But you do you…

Oh hey goalposts bye goalposts

Isn’t Shadowlands current content? Keep ignoring the main point.

I can’t ignore what you add after the fact. “Current” content is a restriction you added after.

waves at the goalposts

Well these are all pretty sad.

Ok well thats a you problem… bye.

Sure it was

I play lots of alts, so I’ve got sixteen covenant sets to collect across all of the armor types, of which I’ve completely unlocked 6 so far. And that’s not even touching the umpteen recolors (I’ve unlocked one full set of recolors for The Ascended). It’s probably going to take until the end of the expansion for me to unlock all 16, plus the stuff being added in patch 9.1.

How far along in the collecting are you?

Can i talk to the person who designed the Ardenweald one. I just want to talk. Really.

I really, really, wish blizzard would stop using the cloud serpent rig for things that are not cloud serpents. It doesn’t look good.

I don’t collect for the sake of collecting, if I like it or want to use it then I’ll obtain it.

That’s not how it works. Whoever speaks first speaks for literally everyone who has ever played WoW.

You may not like it but those are the rules.

Edit: Through the transitive property of speakyness, that means I also speak on your behalf since I’m just repeating what the other guy said.

Tough break!

Whats funny is people are so dramatic to think that an opinion opposite of their’s pertains to “them”… No I am not speaking for you random forum shill, I am speaking my own opinion and voicing it on forum.

Yeah, they had those cool faerie dragons flying all around. I’ve never even seen one of those “fox noodle” (cool name btw) in the wild.

I don’t know why this feels so much worse than unlocking things to buy with rep, but it really, really does. I think it’s the fact that they draw attention to it like we’re getting actual rewards, instead of just the ability to spend anima on something new.

Wild Hunt gets the dude from Neverending Story? Man that’s so unfair!

Do you realize you are doing the exact same thing you described but just arguing from the other angle?

Why can’t you just accept something for what it is? I see an awesome stone gargoyle mount and I can’t wait to get it. Why should I care if it flies the same way as the other giant bat mounts? It’s not like it’s t-posing through the sky.

As long as druids get flight form back, my DH is happy with whatever…I’m good.
