What political statement would that be?
I think they’ve made bad decisions regarding the new race/class, but I don’t believe any of them to be politically motivated.
I think things are changing. I do hope for the good.
I have both an Alliance and Horde Evoker. Did the Alliance one last night and the Horde one this morning.
Making more on other realms.
I like the new Race/class.
i am not a fan of this. I really hope they do not start adding this kinda thing to every class.
I’m a big ol’ leftie and, yeah, this whole ‘let’s make dragon form only look male’ is not as progressive as they seem to think it is. Neither is giving duck lips to almost every face of the female visage.
But honestly, I think the one dragon form body, like not giving them mogging, was just a corner cutting move that they wrapped up in a ‘progressive’ bow.
Shhh… We don’t talk about tails 'round here
this xpac content goin’ downhill before xpac is even released ![]()
Not really. Just a run of the mill overly scrutinizing player base
mmm, I’m gonna say it’s not the fans’ fault, but agree to disagree.
There is no fault. You don’t like something that’s a matter of taste.
Blizzard has made a lot of mistakes. That’s true. This player base over analyzes and over complains. That is also true
And some folks just want to sit down and play an expensive game and not deal with novice level decision making. Also true.
I found them to be boring. The lack of transmog is what we killed it for me though. Soar was fun but thats about it. There wont be any flavor to them after the new wears off. All evokers will pretty much look the same.
Maybe the problem is that y’all already have your classes, and Evoker is made more for somebody like me.
I absolutely love mine.
Dracthyr are meant to appeal to the trans/lgtbq community. Which is totally fine – I’m all for them adding inclusivity/support for all communities.
The visage form, the androgynous dragon form… despite the entire community asking for more defined features. The community gave some pretty incredible suggestions to fix the way the Dracthyr look too. Blizzard just chose to ignore all of it. They could have added more masculine / feminine options but they chose not to. That was a conscious choice they made. They intentionally made the Dracthyr as androgynous as they could get away with.
Blizzard internally got into a lot of hot water over intolerance – and instead of dealing with it internally within their company – they’ve started making pretty bold changes to the game itself. Like removing male/female options in the character creation and replacing them with Body Type 1 or 2.
I think the intent is probably from a place of good… but it’s definitely pushing an agenda.
Many players gave feedback for years looking for a dragonkin (presumably with a male gender and a female gender like all the other races) steeped in existing beloved lore and having an option to shift into their favourite mortal race before this dracthur was a twinkle in a diversity hire intern’s eye.
So I don’t think your thesis is it.
Maybe an overwhelmingly majority group of people who invested financially and emotionally into [product] actually know what they want after all these years, and aren’t asking for euphemisms.
In the shredder, like 99.9% of opinions on these forums it seems.
I don’t think so. But I’m an old man with a lot of life experience who knows what it means when the adage “intentions were good” can fit it’s way in.
I love them. They are lots of fun.
Maybe it’s just me but I sincerely don’t see how these are so massively different from Drakonids, the centaur dragons from vanilla, Maloriak or any of the other human-dragons we have ever seen in the WoW universe.
We have never seen them have mammaries. And that’s ok, because they aren’t mammals. I’m a female and don’t feel threatened by it but I don’t get my validation from cartoon avatars either.
I wasnt excited about them, but then i made one and played with it and i kind of enjoyed it tbh. They have great moves, soar is great fun once you master it.
Im pleasantly surprised.
This is such a hilarious reach, so to you, the lgtbq community is akin to lizard people huh? tell us more about how you fear the gays.
