They all left on the expedition to Draenor together in WC2. I imagine they bonded during that time for Khadgar to say in this cinematic “It’s been too long, old friend.”

Well standing together all the time does imply that theres no issues there
But yeah, they did go on an adventure together where they teamed up and used their powers in conjunction very successfully! To umm… torture people or whatever… <_<
