New Challenges are Ahead in the Dungeons of Midnight

It sounds strange, actually, I would have preferred a group of Legion cultists trying to contact what’s left of it or Fel crystal traffickers a.k.a. drugs.

DH and warlocks with natural enemies, like DH and demons, and DH and void creatures, and DH and shadow priests, or DH and other DH, damn DH ruined the dark arts.

Being a warlock in WoW has always been morally grey, but have always been called upon for great battles. There’s probably something more to it.

Looks great!

No.

Even back in TBC, Blood Elves were Warlocks, and then you had people like I dunno, basically everyone who followed Kael’thas lol.

Furthermore Sargeras is probably going to be a key figure again “soon”, and Sargeri have always been uh, not exactly liked. We’ve had a lot of foreshadowing, such as the whole rebellion against Titanic order going on in Dragonflight, including books referencing Odyn being a POS.

As we’ve seen time and time again, there is a very, very fine line between chaotic good, and whoops haha I’m chaotic evil now.

There’s no way this is as simple as “DH good Warlock bad”; it’s a lot more nuanced. Especially since neither have had exactly great track records.

Let me put it in simpler terms:

“We’re going under Orgrimmar to find and kill Shaman” turned out to be “We’re going under Orgrimmar because Dark Shaman lead by an Old God crazed Warrior are doing some very messed up things”

Let’s not. Bloodthistle being a drug in TBC was cringe as it was and let’s leave it there.

Dannueser is gone so I wouldn’t say that.

I hope these have less interrupts and stops needed.

If the writing process was democratized, as Metzen claimed it was, and any decent number of the people behind Shadowlands remain apart from Danuser, then I would absolutely still say what I said.
Democratized incompetence is a hydra; merely severing a head is ineffective.

100% this. Every class has its bad apples.

It could be what they are doing not that it’s simply fel. The people writing these posts have been known to be wrong at times.

Not really, if you play a HE/BE (I don’t know if the VE still retain the addiction) it is like playing a person with addiction problems from birth, like being born an alcoholic

Magic addiction is very real in WoW, BEs fed on the mana of mana wyverns, ate mana-charged plants, drank potions, and summoned demons to suck their essence.

BE are addicts and will continue to be so unless Blizzard adds something like the arcan’dor of the Nightborne and cure them. The Sunwell is not a cure, it’s just another essence to feed upon.

I think the idea of inherent evil died in vanilla or late tbc. Warlocks orginally were barely tolerated and openly attacked in early lore.

It ran into the same problem most of the horde races hit. Their playerbase or the majority of it doesnt like playing an evil character.

What.

Horde weren’t an “evil race” even in Vanilla. Orcs were varied sure (non-Frostwolves were suspect at the time until further developed, and the Burning Blade was a thing), and Undead were more on the evil side, sort of. More complicated there. However, Tauren were, and still are, one of the most peaceful races to exist. The Darkspear Trolls have also been pretty reasonable throughout all of WoW’s history, even early.

Warlocks have and always will be, at the very best, questionable. … I guess except for maybe Wilfred Fizzlebang who’s incompetent instead.

I’ll have to see them to really get a feel of what is going on.

Not a fan of the color scheme of the blinding vale, but that is entirely personal taste.

Windrunner Spire will take you into the story of the Windrunner sisters, where you’ll learn more about their tragic family history. This is a winged dungeon with many mysteries to uncover.

I love lore, but don’t we already know plenty about the Windrunner’s. I guess maybe something new will be brought up.

Magister’s Terrace has been reimagined and expanded to include areas that were previously inaccessible, such as a balcony overlooking the Sunwell.

Team up with a demon hunter in Murder Row to expose a hidden ring of blood elves practicing forbidden Fel magic in the underbelly of Silvermoon City. Infiltrate speakeasies, unmask corrupt guards, and uncover warehouses packed with demons to purge the city of its lingering corruption.

I could kind of see this if it was the light wanting to purge all that doesn’t agree with it. And the hero (the loot goblin we are) just agree’s. But a dh seems weird here. Is there going to be an anti warlock dh faction?

Anyway, I don’t mean to be negative, I am looking forward to trying each of the dungeons, and I can’t wait to see how they fit with the story

Why is everyone so caught off guard that a Demon Hunter wouldn’t be friendly with Warlocks, and more importantly, Demons?

Not to jump on you specifically but I’ve seen this sentiment multiple times so now ai’m confused and curious.

Just so you know, this is a feature I had asked for, for AT LEAST 10 years.

The fact you can go to a location and learn

WITHOUT WASTING ANYONE ELSE’S TIME

… is something that everyone should embrace.

That anyone sees this as a negative doesn’t even seem possible.

Blizzard using the “in-game” terrain exactly as it is for dungeons is one of the best things that’s been added in years.

Its not that a dh wouldnt think that, but why would a dh try and start a war with their allies. And if its not starting a war, then when did the blood elves become so hateful of warlocks?

Blood elves were one of the most excepting races along with undead of warlocks.

Its a little less about the dh for me and more to when did the blood elves make such a change. Will this have to do with their worship of the light?

Murder Row sounds like it’s shaping up to be a CoS/CoT clone.

Yay. /s

Its more that its bizarre Silvermoon has completely outlawed fel magic (the use of the term speakeasies, likening it to prohibition) while you have a demon hunter, someone who is literally INFUSED with fel magic to the point of sprouting horns and wings is allowed to operate.
