New ascendance model needs... Help

Just bring back the old Ascendance glyph. It’s pretty clear Ascendance is always just going to be an ugly form, so just let us glyph out of it.

This form never made any sense.

Here is an easy fix that will make everyone happy:

  • Have lightning crackle all around the character, a « lightning form » if you will.

  • bonus : have a glyph that recolors it to flames for those who for whatever reason enjoy the lavalash/meatball gameplay.

Thats all that is needed. Thank you. :slight_smile:

The head/hair looks awfull, the way it is right now is just a HD version but as ugly as the old one lol

At this point I don’t think anyone will be 100% happy so just roll with it. Everyone wanted a change just something different now people aren’t happy with that I feel kinda bad for blizz at this point lol.

This isn’t a case of “people are never happy”. This is a case of very poor design choices.

It’s true that you will never appease 100% of players, but the overwhelmingly negative feedback to this new model is enough evidence that they did a poor job making it. I think a majority of players not only wanted a newer model, but also a model that identified with being a shaman, and you know, looks cool.

To add insult to injury, they just posted on the PTR of dark rangers getting complete spell visual overhauls on EVERYTHING as well as a rework. Rapid fire for example getting new animations with dark rangers theme.
Come on blizz. show the other mail class love too.

I feel like it’s pretty obvious that they need to bring back the old Glyph of Ascendance so we can opt out if we wish. It seems like that would stop the majority of the shaman community, myself included, from pushing back so hard.

Completely agree. Body is excellent, hair is bad. I would like the option to keep the hood.

lol, I went on wowhead and took a look at the models and thougth “so you are downgrading everything? Not just abilities. Someone may be salty at Ele right now.”

All I could do was laugh.

seems like a glyph would be Blizzard’s path of least resistance. Too bad. I’d like more mog ability instead of a few glyph appearances. BUT, I will use them if that’s all we have just so I don’t have to see this new model-ever!
