i actually did ok into hpal war, maybe 60/40 winloss

rsham war was a nightmare tho, grounding 2 kick bolt and reflect lego are pretty rough to deal w as a destro lock

and I didn’t stream the games but ill ask the lock if he did

im not sure i understand the question but I qd arena 2 times, 0-1600 and 1600-1800 yesterday

it is the only pvp I’ve done aside from 7 rbgs and 2 troll 3s matches w my friend

100% agree.

Too many players think they played flawlessly and lost then decide that X class is overpowered while my class is underpowered or blame it on gear. People need to admit that they could have done something better whether it be strategy, team composition, or execution.

That’s why you see so many whiners on these forums.

exactly, like the warrior teams that I was actually struggling with, instead of healing I would mc warrior when he uses one of his gap closers bc my gear is literally unable to heal war dmg for more than prob 15 sec

there are ways to win nearly every match up regardless of gear at semi low rating

i just thought this would be insightful for ppl but appears i was wrong

Not going to disagree about skill>gear but you do need gear on dps to kill players even with good setups. A 180 ilvl dps will literally do no damage. It’s simply more manageable to play with less gear on healer since good players will stop low rated players easily. I carried a friend’s prot pally to 1800 when he was fresh but the games are only winnable because I’m geared.

Maybe don’t use two s tier classes that can 1v2 low rated games as an example that dps doesn’t need gear. A glad fire mage or ret can easily 1v2 most games until 1.6, and with an actual partner it really shouldn’t be hard to 1.8 with.

I’m not trying to doubt you, but i’m just pointing out that what your saying doesn’t exactly relate. You obviously have a lot of skill, and run with a person who also has a lot of skill. But you should have also have a lot to learn as a fresh lvl 60 priest (especially when in a week you could do all of this:

i made my legendary and gained a powerful 2 item levels so now i am 180, renown 11 (no conduits tho), 1800 (come on rival weapon!!) 15k honor, 2k conq ready to spend, 3 rival rewards in my box!!

can’t wait to get 2.1 next week, just need to decide if i want to buy gear or not

Also how much time do you have played on your priest in these 7 days? Because that takes time, or it takes a guild/group to help you run all of this very quickly.

This isn’t an insult, but more of a compliment. However having friends with a lot of skill isn’t exactly something everyone has available. I’d be more impressed if you lvl’d a fresh 60 and got to 1800 through LFG only, while learning a class. This the hard reality a lot of people are seeing.

Yes majority of the people would agree Skill > Gear. However a strong group of high skilled friends (especially if they have gear) would be greater than skill it’s self right?

Once again congrats on your good fortunes, you obviously are a very good player, and your lock friend is also obliviously a very good player, but your scenario doesn’t relate to everyone else and to push that scenario as everyone can do this, is a bit absurd.

I can 1v2 teams to 1600. Getting 1800 when half the games from 1600 to 1800 are carries is not too bad.
