I loved BfA from the start of it and I knew people would start missing BfA also. Happens every expansion. I like SL but definitely loved BfA more. Even comparing launch of BfA to before the first patch I like better as we can’t really compare a full expansion that is done to one that hasn’t even had their first patch yet.

I always liked BFA. I was surprised when people were talking so poorly about it near the end. The only thing I felt burnt out with was leveling the neck piece. Now it feels the same with covenants when it comes to playing an alt. I enjoy shadowlands, but I also want to try out playing alts without my main falling behind.

No the devs confirmed that BFA rental systems came with different patches while systemlands launched with all of them at launch.

I’d sure like to do enchanting, but I’d need…gear…to DE for that.
I still don’t understand why they gave us a gear drought but no dust combining ability to make up for it.

So instead of catch-up involving a 2-3 hour intro quest + random tasks we’re going to have to grind out the entire expansion forever on our alts? How is that an improvement? Especially with such a lackluster catch-up system.

Overall I really liked BfA and that was when it was current. IMHO one of the best expacs.
Now the best thing to do is to post on the forums, which I never did in BfA.

I hated BFA with a passion and left in the first month. I came back a year later when artifact power wasn’t a gate to player power/abilities, and it was fine. I cut through content and played until s4 came to an end.
SL is not as bad as azerite traits, but the multiple systems and then the nerfing of gear drops has really sapped my desire to play end game. I’m just kicking around 200 on a few toons with no real motivation to do anything.

you need to get your ilvl up ~184 and the WQs drop all purple items to DE.
but I feel ya. trying to enchant for the first month+ was insane. rich players paid absurd prices and maxed out their chants, but if just playing the game and DEing stuff in the normal course of game play? gawd. that was impossible. direct result of the drop nerfs.

Only real good thing to come out of BFA was Warbringers: Jaina.

I miss Legion (the last patch and how it worked) A lot! You had a vendor to buy lego’s from.
You could do things in game and get the one’s you wanted and the personal progression of that was great. All the info and prof was right their yet here we are. I’m so sad about this.
BFA should be deleted.

This is what happens when you’re constantly doubling down on awful systems.
People start to miss this kind of terrible systems… then we will see at 10.0 “I miss sl”

At least Korthia has a better feeling than the rest of SL.
I will say i LOVED the BFA levelling and open world questing…the settings, scenery, and music was all so wonderful. It was terrible watching the expansion specific content get ignored, while the focus was on all the stupid power systems and gimmick effects.
I really dislike the new player experience which seems to be tutorial island, BFA then SL…i think the story is really forgettable unless youve been following it for 17 years and reading the books.
I will say that zandalar, that city, was the worst city ive ever interacted with prior to flight, absolute nightmare to interact with but i loved it after flying. The alliance city has such a good ambience layout and feel to it though.
While i loved the tenticle look gear, a lot of the horde gear looked awful, just didnt like the aztec troll look. but thats opinion.
For all that was wrong with BFA, i felt like i got my moneys worth out the purchase.
With SL the time gating, metered aspect to everything really ruins what im doing.
You could probably take someone who knows what they are doing, and have them take BFA and SL, merge the two into a really great game…but they lack that individual who knows what they are doing…So two expansions that are part awesome part wtf are they doing…
