Nerf this BS Raid

I get making raids hard for “fun” but if your going to do something this dumb you need to add normal and heroic modes.

If its not adjusted Friday when devs are at work im done playing.

MC was dumb with FR requirement
BWL was great. 10/10 Having the chests at the end was a great addition.
AQ was bugged to hell and back. Player fall off was huge.
Naxx was alright. Should have went to seal 8. No reason to keep it hard for pugs. I have (34 15/15 Naxx Mythic kills with 20-25 man pugs and seal 8 would have been perfect.
Now we have scarlet which is overturned.
First boss was not bad. Got it on 2nd pull.
2nd boss is unreal unless you got to cheese it.
Should have had a normal version and a heroic and made the heroic hard. Blizzard employees must be brain dead.

Another example of what a raid looks like without a PTR. The trash health is a bit much and is way too time consuming. Won’t get much easier with gear.

I think we need to get some guides out before we judge it…. Can’t even get straight answers on mechanics…. Everyone was reporting different mechanics.

What tanks were u using. Did you start the first boss close to the fountain or far away?

Nerfs will happen, I think most were going into it expecting it to be way overtuned. My only problem is the obscene amount of trash with absolutely ginormous health pools between the first and second boss.

Glad for it. Hate everything already being known before going in. If it’s a bit rough a the start, all the more memorable.

On topic, trash could use some health reduction and I reckon boss tuning will come. Just don’t kneecap the one endgame raid we’ll actually progress through (and not via HM systems).

First boss was easy. Killed it on 2nd try. Mechanics arent hard. Its the amount of hp on bosses and trash that suck

You’re aware that FR was needed only for the hard modes?

It’s hard to take you seriously when you don’t even agree with yourself.

For real. Place needs to be adjusted hard.

Streamer guilds were running in with 40 players and getting destroyed. What’s it gunna be like for dad guilds running in with 20?

I also agree the raid needs a nerf, and for the love of all that is holy (it is a scarlet raid after all), tune it correctly. The raid should be tuned if there is 1 difficulty in a way where a guild of Naxx geared players can go in and clear the raid knowing all of the mechanics (meaning it will take practice). DO NOT tune it to 25-man. I would argue even KT HM 4 was too difficult because most people just increased their raid-size to kill it. That is not the correct way of tuning something (especially on a normal mode).

Also something I will say is there are common trends that us WoW players hate. Like the ridiculous amount of trash after Ouro, and fights that have pre-encounter trash clearing as part of the mechanic. And what do we get before the second boss? 2-3x the trash before Ouro, then on top of that a boss with a trash phase as well. Seriously who came up with this?

most players in SOD don’t want hard content. this is evidence by falloff in population in the ST phase, where many guilds simply disbanded because they couldnt clear the content, until blizz nerfed it. . Players for the most part want to get into a fun raid, have fun with the boys, and get some phat loot. Stop designing content for the .01percent and you may have a successful game.

BFD- great raid- lots of fun bosses-last few bosses eventually got nerfed
gnomer- had alot of fun with this raid - not especially difficult
ST- got nerfed multiple times. This was the beginning of the end for Sod
MC- no one wants to farm FR gear to gimp their damage. Disappointing
BWL- great raid with the chests at the end. Only one “hard” hm
AQ- trash dungeon they should delete it or put quick spawns and rework the trash
NAXX- ton of fun, easy blasting content. hm4 is a bit of a challenge. Mat requirements were obscene until they nerfed it a few days ago. 10 arcane crsytals for one ring at a tune of 650g. Again, blizz caters to the hardcore incel player.

Sod has turned into retail slowly with each phase and thats the sad reality. Devs have no original ideas and instead of going back to the basics of what Sod was supposed to be about, they double down on what hasnt worked in retail. (catering to the incel 1 percenters)

There was a lot more than ST being hard, guilds didnt disband, they had to magically get 10more people for the raid with a 2 weeks headsup whilst performing /spit on guild leaderships.

Blizzard stated they want to do content for the avg guilds yet content so far always has been non tested on PTR and end up overtuned.

Yeah, we had 32 and it took us 40 minutes to clear the trash to the 2nd boss. Fully BiS Naxx group.

The amount of trash was insane

theres no room in SOD for garbage retail raids

nerf the mechanics and required movement down by like 90% if the bosses in this raid have more movement and mechanics than molten core then just scrap the whole project and redesign it i dont want to run from big damage ground aoes i dont want to avoid stupid raid damage and i dont want to deal with debuffs or resistances,

make a real raid boss and stop using gimic mechanics just make a real boss like the classic team used to
make the boss fight more about our dps and teamwork without it being a race to not mess up

make it fun not grueling

Went 5/8 tonight and the bosses and trash need to be nerfed more 100%

They clearly want us to prog but hitting a wall at the 2nd boss doesn’t even give us a chance to gear up.

Yeah. Im not asking for major nerfs but make it realistic for 20 man raids

I think what you meant to say here is.

You want the raid to be properly adjusted for a 20-man scale, not simply nerfed. When a raid is released in an overtuned state, its design—such as enemy health pools and encounter pacing—doesn’t match the intended group size. In this context, making proper adjustments is not the same as ‘nerfing’.

Nerfing typically means reducing damage numbers or lowering enemy health across the board. What you and most players actually want is for the developers to fine-tune specific mechanics—like encounter timings, cooldowns, and abilities—to ensure the raid challenges players in a balanced way.
