Thank you for saying that about Arcane Torrent. It was the only interrupt I have as a Demo Lock, and they took it from me! I thought it was broken and put in a ticket. That’s when I found out it had been changed.

you say ally have advantage due to racial.
then say they are pretty balanced.
if 1 side has advantage…thats not balanced.
hence why if you disable racials from the end game content (and the actual content race/esport content) it comes down to a 100% equal playing field.
and it would actually be ez to do this…they have already proven they can change ur racials while in a fight so toggling them off would be simple.
They should just remove racials TBH. Balancing racials across PvP and PvE is too much of a pain.
Instead of nerfing EVERY racial ability because Mag’hars suck, why not just say BUFF mag’hars? And night born while you’re at it. Both their racials are trash.

This carries an implication that they aren’t okay with nerfing Horde racials when the Alliance cries about it.
Fact is, they have nerfed Horde racials when they cried about it.
Right, and notice how the MDi is basically 99.99% allied races?
The Alliance has a huge advantage in high end m+ racials.
My point is this wouldn’t actually help the Alliance. Racials are mostly even in raid. Alliance has the advantage in m+. So if this is a suggestion to help the Alliance, it would actually backfire.

until their is equality then any “challenge” is already not fair before it even starts.
content should be done by picking your class comps…not your races.
we dont want either faction having a repeat of uldir where horde ran countless BE’s for 1 specific fight becasue the racial cheeses a mechanic. (most recent example is why im using it)
any competitive part of game SHOULD be 100% equal with only difference being strategy and teamwork.
and if ally have racial advantage is M+ then thats not fair to Horde side.
Ever since they removed the silence of Arcane Torrent I dont care about racial abbilities any more so yeah. Nerf them, remove them I dont care.
Put racial trainers in the game and let people do a brief quest to change to another race’s racials

I can’t say I’ve ever been in a situation where a racial would have made or broken me in PvP - it’s only in situations where both sides are already on a fairly even skill level you’d see those things making a difference.
Are they nice? Sure. But I can’t say I’ve ever been skilled enough that I’d be winning based on those alone, rather than our team composition and coordination.
I’d rather they brought up the crummier racials than nerfed the good ones. Some of them are good fun.

He pretty clearly stated in m+ alliance has the edge, in raiding they’re balanced. Can you read.
Anyone who picks races in order to help complete specific content, outside of Method/Limit raiders, is asinine.

what that stun reduction? Really? forced? Don’t you have a racial… like every man for himself? Also a built in 10% rep grind reduction.
ITT: Alliance reiterating the age old disparity in Racial comparisons while Horde act like there’s no problem at all.
If roles were reversed (like how the story now sucks for them) then they would be up in arms.

WoW’s roots come largely from tabletop games like DnD. In DnD campaigns racials are pretty impactful, meaningful, and add a lot of flavor to your character.
for example Im playing a mountain dwarf and one of his racials is nightvision. I can sneak in the dark and still see things in pitch black. if you don’t have darkvision your character needs something obvious and revealing like a torch to navigate dark places and depending on your DM that could be bad for you.
I think people have this idea that there is this utopia where all racials are perfectly balanced and everyone is happy and that just doesn’t exist. there will always be situations where one racial trumps another.
i wouldn’t mind racials returning to grant more important combat play to add more flavor. i think this imaginary e-sports utopia where racials are perfectly balanced takes away from RPG aspects of wow. obviously the easiest balance solution is to disable racials in competitive play but is that really fun? have you ever had green beans with no butter or bacon or garlic or even salt? that’s what that would be like eating.
its fun seeing stuff like when method dumps like 1 mill gold into race changes to all troll or something else silly to get a mythic jaina world first. good for you trolls.
when people complain you are forced to play a certain race for reasons it really comes down to you weighed your options and xyz racial power gain is more important to you than playing something else you enjoy role playing or looking at more. Sometimes I wish I was a zanda pally but I still want to be a BE too so im just leveling a second ztroll pally in case I want to pvp as her instead. its nice having both options and one of the pro’s WoW has over Final fantasy where your character/race can play every class/spec rather than having alts. I don’t know how final fantasy handles racials but i would be curious since from what i gather most people just have 1 or two races/characters they play that cover all classes.
also as an aside while I do miss my old arcane torrent for PVP the new arcane torrent is super useful in high m+ and if they changed it back I would cry. I can think of 3 dungeons right now where it is super useful i might be missing some. even in PVP purging another pally’s bop feels really good. i don’t think Arcane torrent is necessarily weaker it just plays a different role. a real nerf would be to downgrade it to a single target cast instead of AOE.
