Being casual doesn’t make you bad, being bad makes you bad. There are plenty of casual players out there that are competent players.
Casuals can do this just fine, but don’t expect an easy 1 shot, and proceed to scream when you get killed. Go in again, and again, and eventually you’ll get it right.
Im starting to doubt this when closing in on attempt 300, call me bad sure thats fine but i feel its just broken. Especially when it doesnt remotely resemble PTR
You just said that “complainers” are minority and you even gave the estimate ballpark . Now the first thread that was made by theressa i think had over 400 likes diminishing any other post made by “git gud” crowd .And there are boatload of posts on many other sites in agreement with it being hard . Even the peoples who completed it said its really hard .
Now just because some people doesnt have the ability to “git gud” to like “mythic” lvl difficulty doesnt mean they want a handout or want free stuff bro . Let me tell you i was stoked for this so friggin much i waited and waited and when it finally arrived after 6 hours of non stop trying and trying and trying going nowhere frustration takes over and the best way for me is to get a drink but that way for someone else can be to vent on forums and you are downright assuming they want free stuff
FYI: I already got the appearances I really wanted. But I am still staying unsubbed because the Timewalking MT was very poorly implemented and most specs have not been adequately addressed.
People who will defend poorly developed content (sometimes when they haven’t even bothered to test it out themselves) just because it is WoW are more pathetic than the people who leave because they demand a better game that actually includes them as an audience.
The Real ID Fiasco. The WoD No Flying head explosion. The Corrupted Blood bug with accompanying days long mega threads. The Cataclysm Dungeons too hard nerf or I quit! The “Stolen” Gates of AG threads. Just to name a few…
I’ve seen many explosions here, although this does rank decent.
If Reset Day doesnt see more MT Nerfs not the Garbage ones we just got. ACTUAL NERFS , Guardian being the biggest i think . Unsub here I come, i feel thats the same for alot of people
Aff is easy but the hp values are hilariously overtuned, just because you happen to be able to heal through the enrage doesn’t really change that. The fight has 80k more hp for aff than anyone else and you cannot kill raest without killing Karam because of that.
I’m just about over the mage tower. I completed all four Druid challenges back in Legion including that tank one, and I can’t make any real headway in the Balance Druid challenge once I get to phase 3. Karam is running around all over the place, hands are spawning left and right, and the pool I have to soak usually spawns directly on the other side of Karam. I don’t remember the Legion challenge being this difficult at all. Maybe I’ve just fully embraced my “boomerness” and aren’t as good anymore. I really can’t say but it’s left me a bit disheartened knowing I could do it before and now I can’t. Maybe it really is time to finally step away from WoW and go find something I’m still good at. Sub runs out in a couple of weeks so I guess we’ll see.
That’s how a lot of us feel. The Mage Tower was challenging in Legion, but eventually possible with practice and learning the mechanics. But what we have on live now feels close to impossible without special gear sets, consumables, and absolutely flawless execution.
I did unsub. And I did stay on the Broken Shore in my timewalking set until I finished my Shadow challenge. But I will not resub or attempt any more MT challenges until the devs fix this mess. (And until my sub time runs out, the forums are fair game.)
I didn’t have any special gear sets or any socketed TW gear, I’m Shadowlands-geared only. With some experimenting during all the wipes I found out that the STATS you pick apparently make a big difference.
I was hard-stuck for like 75+ attempts until I switched my gear around for max Vers… then I “magically” got a kill a few tries later:
The explanation seems to make sense, if you armory most of the Druids that were killing it pre-nerf most of them were PvP geared/duelist geared with like 36-38% Vers. Of course, most of these “challenges” are little more than DPS races, and Vers is a flat increase to your damage output (more dmg = easier encounter).
Have you done it? Even the first phase feels brutal. I’ll be doing okay then a mage will burst someone from 100% to 10% and I can’t heal it up in time to save the run. Yeah I know I need to purge but it feels like you have to make literally 0 mistakes AND have RNG on your side.
300+ likes on the OP and it’s been hidden, kind of funny. Shocked Blizzard still has a “dislike” button (yes I know it’s not really a dislike button, but let’s be honest, that’s exactly what people use the report this post button for), shouldn’t they be getting rid of that like Youtube? Can’t have that kind of negativity here on the forums, might discourage people from posting.
Just want to point out, Blizzard re-released Naxxramas and Onyxia’s Lair in Wrath of the Lich King because they didn’t like it that so little of the playerbase actually got to experience these raids.
They’ve since reverted back to their ways, leaving mythic raids only available to once again those select few players.
It’s like, they get upset that so few people get to see the content, so they make it more accessible, just to change it back later and get the same complaints as they did back then. I swear these devs are on some gnarly flowers.
