Thank you for posting this here!
Would the vers make much of a difference? I’m assuming thats level 19 so 147 seems like alot, Compared to 53.
level 39. I prefer versa as my primary secondary stat.
Ah 39, oh well the heirlooms also have the bonus XP which is what most people worry about when leveling. So I guess that makes up for the difference in vers.
If you were able to bump it to 149, you’d have as much as all the 2nd sets secondaries combined.
The primary advantage of twinking is that you’re able to stack a preferred secondary stat; equipping whatever comes along gives you an odd spread of less desirable stats. Whether at 39 or 120, its better to lean into a preferred build. (Much easier to do sub-120 nowadays).
Most hunters build into vers, but I’ve seen crit and I have a 49 built into haste. There’s typically a ‘right’ answer, but there’s also personal preference and playstyle… I like those 1.9s aimed shots and never using steady shot, even if I’m more squishy
I can go well above 149 but I have found that performance issues start to arise with SP and HP.
Do you guys have to deal with much DR at those levels? Might have to give this a go as like a side project when I’m not doing m+
DR kicks in, at first Versa is, if I remember correctly without opening my speadsheets, ~.48 per 1 versa but starts dropping around the 130 mark slightly.
I have tried them all but my favorite so far is a pure AGI build.
I was looking for a spreadsheet on this the other day, is this something you could put up on google docs or share?
I can, but let me clean it up some. I have been trying to get Wowhead’s DB through the API’s but haven’t had much luck with it.
That’d be awesome of you. No hurries and thanks a ton in advance.
What was the point of this?
Before enchants, while Stamina is close, your versatility alone is going give you a big damage boost. Now after that, factor in enchants. Just hopped on my lvl 37 that I was prepping for twinking. Currently he has heirlooms (not enchanted yet) in every slot and I sit ~180 dps. (Monk, when getting boosted to 39 in that bracket)
If I had to take a shot in the dark, with your gear and enchants, i’m gonna guess that you’re sitting around 300 dps? With around 400 extra HP over someone who’s not enchanted. So yes, there is a BIG difference. To post your gears unenchanted stats are just silly.
Also don’t pull the “Then why doesn’t everyone else just enchant their gear” card. Newbies shouldn’t have to compete with some max level farmer to be competitive in a BG that is there for leveling. At 39 your only gold sink should be saving up for your riding training and mounts.
Enchants scale with heirlooms. Stop making excuses.

I didn’t really make an excuse…
Your entire last paragraph was an excuse. Before heirlooms you’d have a point.
Let me get this straight. You legitimately believe that a new player should fork out the money for enchants? Or that a a player leveling an alt should also fork out the money for enchants?
Keep in mind here, they’re the majority. Twinks are in the minority here. Sure 1000 or so twinks are pretty up in arms about this, but that doesn’t hold a candle to the 100,000+ that have been complaining over the past decade. Also you chose to focus on 25% of my post, and not even try to tackle the others?
ALSO, I didn’t know enchants scaled with my heirlooms. So thank you for that. My priest has been stuck leveling though Borean Tundra and it’s been PAINFUL.

Yes, because some people do enchant their heirlooms. Even with xp off out of the picture, there are still people who do gear their character in every way possible because it’s still pvp. Those new players should not be the focus because they are new, gonna get stomped no matter what. It was easy to be competitive if you had heirlooms that you enchanted, and kept up with gear in the other slots.

We are talking about a business here. New customers definitely matter.

They are still handicapped by not having heirloom gear. Heirloom enchanted players are now twinks to them.
