We want balance and that doesn’t come from a nerf. You nerf this class and buff this class and the next thing you know you have pvp since wow began. Complete s show
Balance means balance. Do look at just the damage but look at the mitigation as well. Make sure you are doing the right thing for the greater of all!
I am no elite and I enjoy playing arenas with my daughter. And there are some classes that it’s not the damage that makes you lose. Granted a MM opening up while in stealth and draining your bar is a bit much. But there are ways to fix that
Let’s say this…one of the biggest problems is that we get chain cc and get melted. So let’s reducr the amount of damage a player takes while in cc so that way they still have a chance to fight. A cc burn where a player doesn’t even get to start the fight is a bigger problem then a damage since you COULD cc them to stop the excessive damage.
We need to think differently about how we balance our classes and specs. And for sure need to make sure that we are not balancing multiple specs based on data from one as I feel for the frostys out there who got screwed because of UH
The game needs balance…not nerfs. But it needs to be progressive balance and not knee jerk reactions to something which always seems to be the case
Damage has been way too high since BfA. When a WW can wipe out a plate user in seconds means there is some crazy high numbers being crunched in the background.
I have 40% physical dmg reduction up at all times. Thats a perma wall but it literally means nothing. The overall dmg numbers are stupid high
Was just in a RSS on my disc priest. The other healer, resto druid, HoT his team and spammed cyclone on me every round. No matter if I trinket the first cyclone or the second, even with DR it’s just a matter of time before my teammates get burst down cos I couldn’t even get a heal off or get cc’d again right after. By the time I do manage to regain control, dampening makes my heals feel like I am pasting a band-aid plaster on an amputated leg. Lost 0-6. I’m just a casual average player/healer but until it feels like I am actually playing the game as a healer in PvP, I think I’ll stick to my warr for now… or maybe go shadow
This is so fried, they did this already with the 40% HP buff and it did absolutely nothing to help alleviate damage. No burst/rot needs to be toned down. This is just turning into Shadowlands 2.0 now with the amount of burst in the game.
No one liked Shadowlands PvP, we don’t want another repeat of the god awful gameplay where someone “accidentally” kills someone without meaning too, or the Rot of Aff just killing an entire team doing 50x more damage than everyone combined in an arena (This is exactly what Feral is doing right now, Feral is the new Aff lock)
I play MW, Disc, and RDruid - in the past week I’ve seen a huge spike in WTF damage. As DPS has started getting more gear, some with tier sets, the damage has started getting out of control.
I’m for sure done healing solo on my Druid as I’ve dropped from 1684 to 1388 since Tuesday. If damage continues like this you will see more healers stop queuing which will make DPS queues much longer eventually leading people away.
No because the overkill right now is more than your “70k” added HP actually implied. This also hurts classes who don’t have the pressure or kill potential of the other classes that can burst someone down or rot someone with insane damage. No this would just put those classes further behind. The best thing to do is tone the outlier classes down with nerfs.
Reduce all healing and damage done by an additional 50%, then make all CC share a DR so that fights are about resource and cooldown management instead of just CCing the healer for 20-30 seconds and blowing up someone in 2 GCDs.
fair enough, but you were merely assuming that my proposed 70k HP increase was supposedly mathmatically even with the dmg that everyone has. its not, duh, when basically every spec is hitting for 100+ but dmg has to eventually win. ghostcrawler even said it years ago. dmg has to win out sooner or later, otherwise nothing dies at all. we’d go from stuff dying too soon to things never dying ever. so you increase HP across the board “some” and sit back and wait and tweak accordingly. its easier and more elegant than tweaking the dmg of 234232343 different specs, half of which theyll get wrong, and you know it.
so instead of tunnel vision, how bout you just lemme free your mind, neo. look at the big picture. for now at least, HP is the way to handle this, not dmg numbers.
Blanket buffs and nerfs to everyone as a whole has never been good idea. Not everyone operates within the ideal situation. This is LoL nerfing Lich Bane because Akali is instantly killing, it didn’t stop her and it just made low tiers that rely on it worse.
If we add that HP you are going to see games with lower damage specs struggling to get through that trinket of HP. This also doesn’t fix how plenty of healers are burning their mana just to keep up with the damage. It just means the arms warrior has another layer of defense as they sit on the healer.
The tier set pve bonus should not work in the arena or bg, much less come in the pvp weekly reset, we have the world pvp (drake-break) set that scales in levels within the arena, it is clearly a set made for pvp that the bonus is not activated, what is the sense of a pve set having its bonus active in the arena? Before people had access to 2 or 4 parts of the set, the tier set pve bonus should not work in the arena, much less come in the pvp chest, we have the world pvp set that scales in levels within the arena, it is clearly a set made for pvp that the bonus is not activated, what is the sense of a pve set having its bonus active in the arena?
