Nerf Brackenhide last boss

Guys, give Blizzard a break. This dungeon has only been out for 6 months. We’ve only had half a year to see this coming, warn Blizzard about it, dread it, and beg Blizzard not to do exactly what they did to us. Who could have possibly seen this coming months and months and months ago?

The dot does go away when she casts the ability that gives everyone green circles around their bodies. Granted, on higher keys, that ability will kill you since its damage is increased by the stacks you have from abilities going off.

This boss is probably doing 30% more damage than appropriate right now. It’s cracked.

Can you kill something with 1.1m HP in 4 seconds 6 times back to back, with any cast going off nerfing your damage by 5%? You cant improvise or adapt around that.

It also insures that you only bring classes that can do burst damage.

Just curious, can you kill totem with 1.3M HP (it’s +15) in 4 seconds while that boss can summon totem very often? You can’t let it cast off because it can literally blow your tank up.
Naraxas have 0 counterplay from 100-0’d instantly. Dragon boss in Vortex have a ticking aura and you need to go up so you can’t heal anyone. Someone can die from that with 0 counterplay. You literally can’t improvise and adapt around these overtuned dungeon bosses

While also killing the boss. Even after getting through like 5 or 6 totems successfully, the boss is still only at 60% because you have to dump all your damage into an add every 30 seconds.

It’s extremely binary pass/fail

I did a 14 random pug with a ret pally/outlaw rogue and the totem was deleted instantly every time it spawned because of them. Fight was still slightly challenging but no longer insane.

I just got out of a BH+14 with below-average DPS. We didn’t time it, sadly, but we sort of worked out how to deal with the last boss.

The key is to minimise the withering debuff going out to players. It’s applied by the frontal she does when she spawns the big green circle, the totem going off, and people getting caught in the green circle itself. Each stack of withering the boss absorbs increases her damage done, which looks like it results in totems with more HP and bigger health absorbs from her decaystrike.

First, the tank can side-step the frontal to prevent withering being applied. I was tanking and made a point to face the boss towards the wall so other players don’t get blasted (and get withering). Then you immediately hoof it because the circle moves FAST. When the circle is active, she won’t do the frontal, so the tank is free to contribute damage to the totem when it pops up. Just make sure the rest of the group avoids the circle at all costs.

Second, get everybody (even the healer) to hard switch and nuke the ever-living hell out of the totem. Letting it go off more than once will likely cause a wipe because it’ll not only result in rot damage, but also magnifies the size of the heal absorb that gets slapped onto the tank when the boss uses decaystrike. Assuming your group’s DPS is decent, the totem should die quickly.

Just did it on a 16. Was very difficult. Had to plan cooldowns and lust for totems. Heads up tank controls totem spawns.

Tanks control the spawns. It always spawns away from the boss.

There’s no reason for that fight to be the way it is. Just did an 11 with all melee and it took 3 hours. Just on her. I was out self healing our HEALER. Bliz needs to fix this. S###

that’s a dps issue. people not swapping to the totem, or not doing appropriate damage to it

i just did a +9 and we 3-chested. /shrug

The boss is fine, also were u a bdk or dps. Outhealing a healer as a bdk us normal. Outhealing as a dps means your healer was absolute trash.
Oh and brining full melee group too braken is just a bad idea in general.

Just means DPS are sub-par and/or tank doesn’t know how to properly navigate the encounter.

This made sense pre nerf when the totems were way too beefy and the debuff was way stronger but now the boss is way easier so I would suggest figuring out whats giving you the most trouble and working on that the boss isnt that bad now if ya want i can give you some tips

Out healing a healer as any tank is normal in good groups for most dungeons. If the dps and healer are avoiding most of the mechanics and the tank is self sufficient, the healer will have less healing. Things like celestial fortune on Monks is counted as their healing. All tanks have remarkable levels of self sufficiency and need only minor healing from the healer.

the last boss has minimal healing needed (Esp on fort) if played right

i will say that ive dpsed this boss as boomkin and the totems suck to kill. boomkin takes atleast 2 globals of nothing and by then the totems halfway through its cast. also need to pool ap for it

so bad target swappers are gonna have a fun time on totems
