Negativity about Plunderstorm

Right, sorry lil buddy but you are wrong on so many levels. I’m sitting on 30,825 achievement points, 731 mounts, 625 toys, 1232 pets, AoTC every tier I’ve played on multiple characters, KSM every tier i’ve played on multiple characters, light mythic raiding when the mood strikes me…but yeah i sit in Valdrakken all day and haven’t done anything and I’m so bored. Right…

And its super cool how you keep moving the goal post when you get proven incorrect. The discussion was whether or not the event awards gear/power progression in retail and in fact does. It doesn’t matter if a normal piece or a mythic piece, it doesn’t matter if its a world first player or an LFR hero who gets the gear, gear is still awarded from Plunderstorm. I’m sorry you are to smooth brained to grasp that. It’s probably why you’re a level 58 classic Andy.

You completely miss the point and take an ad-hominen approach.
Seems about right for an orc.
The sideshow sits inside the retail wrapper.
Even classic players must download the retail client if they want to try Plunderstorm, but I suspect most classic players already have retail installed. Still, it can be spun as increased number of client downloads and time engaged in WoW.

I wonder why people paying to play world of warcraft are upset about a world of warcraft patch that added exactly zero content to world of warcraft. It’s a complete mystery…

That’s not power progression, this simply a catch up mechanic at this point…most everyone is well geared beyond normal raid ilvl and you can get infite amount of crests to upgrade any piece beyond that

Look at those goalposts move!

It’s not a goal post. You compared it to Torghast, which was a weekly progression towards a legendary upgrade. Which was mandatory if you wanted the highest ilvl peice of legendary. This is no where close to that as its a normal ilvl piece of gear which is beyond the point of even a catch up … catch up would be heroic or mythic at this point in time.

Yep. First it was “Plunderstorm doesn’t have any gear/power attached”, then it was “Only LFR players need that gear” now its “Its a catch-up mechanic, everyone’s already geared!” Which all still boils down to Plunderstorm awards raid gear in retail which is appalling regardless of who may or may not need that gear.

Does Plunderstorm award raid gear of any kind that would increase a players power? Yes.

With all things in life, you need to be realistic and reasonable about things and discussions. If you are complaining at this point in time with season 4 about a month or so away that you have to play plunderstorm to get a normal piece of raid gear then you basically dont play retail and this entire discussion is meaningless to you anyways. The only thing this helps is perhaps your 5th alt that you log into just to roleplay in orgrimmar

Why are you unable to accept that you’re wrong? Is it a pride thing?

Me: The sky is blue
You: The sky is not blue, its just the reflection of water that makes the sky look blue.
Me: So…the sky is blue
You: Accept that you are wrong!

I don’t have to play Plunderstorm at all. Im 486 ilevel. But what I do or do not need is irrelevant. The question was does the event give raid gear? Yes it does. and I’m pretty confident that there are players that a piece of normal raid gear would an upgrade for, be it on an alt or a new player or someone who only does world content, or someone who was drawn back to the game by Plunderstorm. So it is reasonable and realistic to discuss this.

No it wasn’t, I said and I quote “It’s not tied to any gear or power related progress for your raiding/pvp/m+ character in any way.”

It’s not tied to any power related progress. You can argue whether a normal ilvl piece of gear is power progress for you at this point, but you are 99% a minority and basically do not raid anyway or run m+ if thats true for you and your sitting at 400 ilvl

We needed more posts about this.

You: You don’t get gear/power from Plunderstorm.
Me: you get normal raid gear
You: That’s not the gear/power I meant. No one need that gear! I mean stuff that will be useful 2 years from now!

My god the mental gymnastics on this one…

Are you honestly telling me and everyone here that you reserve the right to complain about attaining power through a game mode when a normal piece of gear is power progress for your main right now? that means you dont run m+, or raid at all. and theres no reason for you to even care about the normal piece of raid gear

Irrelevant. There’s a piece of player power attached to Plunderstorm.

But it is not power progression that is mandatory, you are missing the point. With Torghast it was the ONLY way you could level up your legendary. In WoW you can get a normal piece of raid gear by doing raid… and by doing m+. You are not forced to run plunderstorm to get the gear. You are not being honest here
