First: leveling at the same time as everyone else is very fun!
Second: If what you want is the TBC experience, well, that no longer exists. SoD isn’t TBC. Cata certainly isn’t. TBC was its own beast. To me it was a fun expansion that felt like classic but with better class balance.
I think having a TBC server that delayed opening the dark portal by a month or so would be neat. We’d be playing with TBC abilities and folks could be blood elves or draenei. We could level in the vanilla content, maybe get a little gear, then move on to Outland together.
(Personally I think they botched TBC classic by having only two weeks to level new races and introducing boosts with mounts)
They should make a fresh tbc server with xfers/boost disabled, blood elves/draenei/JC available, black portal opening delayed for a month or two to give people time to level their mains/alts before going to outland. Number of servers should be 8, 1pvp and 1pve for EU, US-E, US-P, and Aus.
I’ve been playing the War Within… It’s been good but I’m bored with it now.
TBC is the only expansion I could play forever. Started playing Hardcore because I’m bored but it’s never going to be enough. That’s a completely different kind of experience where you can’t get too invested in your character.
I’m not interested in anything between TBC and current retail, although Legion would be fun… but not if it’s the treadmill Blizzard insists on that would force you BfA/Shadowlands… what a waste of time that would be.
Idk… it seems so simple, just give us TBC era like the Vanilla era people have.
But I guess Blizzard would rather I just quit WoW altogether again.
TBC was perfection.
I’m sure I’ll play Midnight when that comes out, but then it will be the same problem after a little while. These later expansions just don’t have the replay value TBC had.
TBC Hardcore would be insane, but if that’s what it takes to bring back TBC I’d be into it.
