Need help with being a dps for delve

As a tank, you can get away with a lot because they were designed to take a lot of damage.

Depend a which tanks I dine pretty much delves on tank and from my experience easiest to hardest

1. Prot pally
2. Guardian Druid
3. Prot warrior
4. VDH
5. Brew monk
6. Did not tribute a BDK yet

Play since they got for a lot of interrupt, good self self, many Defensive CD to rotate around and good overall damage

Guardian Druid, hp sponge, good defensive and massive self heal every min so you can pull a lot every min, useful utility like dash and roar to get the delves done faster

Prot warriors good defence with IP and shield book you ho doesn’t drop up as long as you keep them up. Damage is meh but because of heroic leap you can bypass some parts of delves (the new delves in undermine my port warrior can jump to different platforms easily) a few stuns

VDH I am not that good with it so maybe more practice will make it easier. It plays like a dps your hp do drop and you can heal it back

Brew monk. I actually preferred to do delves in WW spec brew the way how stagger works means you are getting hit just less and the damage becomes a DoT. I feel like is harder to control how much damage you take also it seems to kill mobs very slow compared to other tanks. I rather just do it in WW and kill everything faster

My 640 something fire mage can’t do a T8 Delve no matter what spec Brann is.

My 617 veng DH with no enchants, gems, or anything else clears T11s.

Delves are broken.

I am terrible with mages but I’m pretty sure I can do an 8 with mine at that ilevel. Gotta cc (or do what I generally do, get scared press all the buttons and pray i hit the right one, pull everything then panic while I try to find the inviso-mode button…)

I don’t really have any advice for the OP that doesn’t mirror what y’all have already said. Use your CC and your defensives when you must (what you savin them for?). Walk on the potions. Curse— liberally!!!— when Brann decides to shoot at unpulled mobs because he got impatient. He is a hunter afterall…

Guild has a hunter who rips delves apart with DPS Brann. They have their 4-set bonus for the current tier. It’s a little busted. They pushed 5.3M DPS on a Kriegval’s final boss versus my Rogues 2.1M DPS. Brann did a pitiful 200K.

Reading this irks me as a frost mage. Hunters and tanks can abuse their class mechanics to easy Tier 11 clears while every single delve boss is immune to my CC.

Nooo! Cant do that. Defensives and CC and utlity are forbidden in delves!!

CC are forbidden in boss fights though.

Sounds like fire has a problem, not delves. I’ve been clearing t11s on a 630 frost mage without issue.

As i said above i do 8’s at 620ish on my mage (fire). pop everything kill them before they kill you :). Don’t think i could run anything higher reliably, even at 8 they can get spicy

Sounds like fire has a problem, not delves.

Or it’s the player, I played Fire Mage last season and had no issues with T8s(Which was the first spec I got my ?? Zekvir kill as), and with the difficulty remaining the same coming into this season, there shouldn’t be any issues.
