Need Help: Can't access BFA Warfront (Alliance) - greyed out

So I’ve been gone from WoW for some time and recently returned in anticipation of the new expansion. While I’m waiting for the new content I decided I’d run over to BFA Boralus and run some Warfront: Battle for Stromgarde in the hopes of finally getting those amazing 7th Legion Plate shoulders with the lions to finally drop. However when I get to the recruiter’s table the option for Battle for Stromgarde is all grey’d out and i can’t access any of it.

When I activate the table and get the pop up on the left side there is Battle for Stromgarde in red, Patrol, 5 days left, and the option to join is grey’d out. On the right in blue is Darkshore, Seige, 6 days left, and the option to join.

Something just occurred to me as I’m writing this, is the Battle for Stromgarde in red because it is Horde controlled and thus I can’t access it as an Allie? If so, how do I GET access to as an Allie?

FYI: I’ve finished all of the main quests there in BFA with each chapter showing 10/10, 7/7, etc. The world quests in all 3 areas are active, and my faction with each of the main three groups are at Honored or higher.

The only other thing I can think of that might be an issue is I did a race swap from Dwarf to Dark Iron at some point and I’m wondering if that might have messed up something?

Any advice / suggestions would be great. Thank you in advance.

@nobully - thank you for looking up that quest for me. I was not aware of it, however I fear those are just the “standard issue” shoulders. From what I recall the only way to get the lion shoulders is from the Battle of Stromgarde quest / instance. If there is another way, i’ll definitely have to take a closer look!

You can always do the Warfront as Horde and hope for the Plate Shoulders to drop for you there. If you learn the Horde appearance, you will also earn the Alliance one, and vice versa.

Make sure you do the Heroic version of the Warfront, and pick up the quest for both normal and heroic. That way you get double the chances at the quest-exclusive “elite” appearances.

From what I’m seeing you can only do heroic as a Raid, and honestly I’ve had no luck getting together a group that large for old content like this.

You need ten to start it on heroic.
