I am still holding out hope for:
World of Warcraft: N’Zoth’s Nightmare
Right after the Legion was defeated, all of us were sucked into a nightmare realm courtesy of N’zoth. And by all of us, I am including the allied races so we have still met them and recruited them in this nightmare realm so they are still in the game.
He has held us all there, unknown to us, for all of BfA and Shadowlands and we must fight our way out. In the awake (not woke 
) world of Azeroth, tentacles, N’zothan monsters and worshippers/cults have sprung up all over and people are holding out for a hero!
So Teldrassil and Undercity are fine, Sylvanas isn’t ruined, Bolvar still sits on the Frozen Throne with the iconic crown safely on his head and the afterlife remains a mystery as it should be. Oh, and our ability to rez remains a game mechanic rather than a sign of how gosh darn special we are!
The expansion features us fighting our way out of the nightmare realm, fighting N’zoth creations all over Azeroth and, finally, using the using the energy of the giant sword, disintegrating it in the process, to cleanse all of Azeroth of all Old God influence.

I’ve been wanting a Dragonsworn class or a Drakonid race since before Cata. I miss the old forums it was one of my first posts on there. If this is Dragon Isles and we don’t get it, we likely never will. If it’s not dragon isles still have a hope for a future expac with them. But I’m a bit exhausted on the void and there always being another big bad. A Dragon Isles that’s back to being a more simple expansion- a la MOP- would be perfect. A rebuilding expac.

World of Warcraft 9: Old Enemies- All the old organizations that we messed with in Azeroth are back, mad, and have a shared goal of killing those darn adventurers. What is left of the bloodsail buccaneers, scarlet crusade, kurzen encampment, murloc tribes, quilboar tribes, defias brotherhood, and more all team up for one purpose: kill the adventurers who ruined their plans.
Except the dragonflight.blizzard.com domain was registered with certification authorities on 3/29/22, not in April. That domain also actually exists right now (you can do a nslookup of it in command prompt/terminal on any windows/mac computer and it returns, instead of the normal ‘non-existent domain’ for one that is not registered with DNS)

This would unironically be way cooler than Shadowlands.
It’s not an April Fool’s Joke, that is the name of the next expansion.
While I wish they did something like that. Thr fact we have people that have been on azeroth this whole timr showing up at the end of the expansion shows there was absolutely no time skip.
Not sure why you are responding to me, as I never said it was an April Fools. If what I said was actually read, I was responding to someone who had suggested it might be, with reasons why it would not be.
