Need a new GPU, but have problems to choose

Hello there!

I am in a mhm difficult situation.

Just bought a new PC at the end of september.

Got a XFX Mercury 9070xt gpu shortly after and sadly it was defect when i tried to use it.

Okay, then i bought a Sapphire Pure 9070xt, and again….it does not work at all.

The merchant where i bought it told me, yup, it was doa.

So now i do not want to buy another AMD gpu, but Nvidia again.

Besides WOW, FF 14, i play older JRPGs, want to play some more new stuff like the Star Wars Games with RT, some other RPGs, like this french title and so on.

Most people told me the 5070 would be ok for FHD, but for WQHD only for a short time.

Atm i have an older FHD monitor, but want to replace it soon with a WQHD one.

I do not want to play in 4k at all.

Do you think i should aim for the 5070 or 5070ti?

I chose the MSI Gaming Trio OC as a custom modell bec. i like quiet GPUs.

And those models are alrdy expensive enough.

~65x Euro here in Germany for the 5070 or 900-940 for the TI version.

The problem with 5070 is the 12gb VRAM. It might become outdated, and some games are already hitting that limit, but they’re few. In future, who knows?

If you have the money, it’d say stick with the 5070 ti. It’ll be perfect for future games.

2 doa back to back seems suspicious. If wonder if there’s something else going on

Thought so too. Tested it with old gpu but its not my mb, thats working.
