Looking gor something else to play thats not going to bore me within hours.
Typically, I play fantasy rpgs. No science fiction. Not post apocalyptic. This cuts out stuff like star wars, fallout, cyberpunk.
I spent 20 years clocking long hours in game. My situation hasn’t changed, but the games have. I cant go 8 hours in wow anymore without being bored. The social aspect that pulled me in is gone. I want to play with friends, not randoms.
I used to go on six month skyrim benders. Think I just played that one too much.
I’ve tried various D&D games and similar. Chronic restartitis. Ill get partway through and restart with a different character idea.
But now my days are 15h of watching YouTube in bed because nothing else actually holds my interest. No, im not working. I haven’t worked in 25 years. Can’t get hired anywhere i can do things now anyway.
But I really just miss games I could lose myself in for hours. Where id be eager yo log in for more than raid logging or dailies. Wow hasn’t been that game since probably mop.
Sigh.
Witcher 3 and Baulders Gate 3 are the single player fantasy RPGs that I’ve got the most hours in, both fantastic games.
If you are open to ARPGs like Path of Exile or Diablo those have near infinite gametime if you like grinding.

Never got d4. I have 1, 2 and 3. BG3 triggers my restartitis. I cant get through act 2 without restarting.
Could look at d4 though. 3 kept me occupied for a while. Just wasn’t a fan of other people in my game, which was how it was at launch.
The Mass Effect trilogy is too good to not recommend here if you’re willing to branch out a bit.

Wrong setting.
im stupidly specific in the games I like and a setting czn ruin gameplay.
The main selling point there is the characters.
Sometimes Mass Effect Legendary Edition goes on sale for under $5 on Steam. I like the same kind of games you like and Mass Effect 2 is close to perfect in my opinion. Sort of like Fable you can either be a good guy or piece of trash and it carries through all 3 games. And if you’ve never played a Fable game, they’re good and not ridiculously long.
If you have never tried it and you like Star Wars I would suggest SWTOR. It’ll keep you busy with a few weeks to a few months depending on how much you play. Once you get all the classes and subclasses to max level the game kind of dies at that point.
However leveling to max level is on each class and subclass is highly enjoyable and that’s because the whole lovingling experience is different for every class! It’s loaded with cutscenes and fully voice acted so it plays more like an RPG. However combat wise it plays very much like wow with the Star Wars skin on it. Like I said though each class has their own class story and it’s quite immersive
The problem with nass effect and star wars, is the space theme. Not my cup of tea.
Did finally pick up d4. Slowly picking at it.
I was just fishing in Boyahda Tree earlier.
