Also have experienced this bug, twice in a row on the same attempt. Add was in the normal position and the guys who had the hook lined it up perfectly but no pull. Nothing in the way, no affix, etc.
See. Hooks worked. Maybe bcoz somebody else got hook and they did it right.
Becoz you were targetted on hooks and has no glasses.

They need to change the hitbox to be the entire stage for hook, and let it stretch the entire room if necessary. Otherwise, endless bricking because of silly pixels.
Most people that have run NW a bunch will have had at least 1 â?â Moment where from everyoneâs pov it looked like the hook was perfect and it fizzled.
Even if lined up correctly, it can still miss if the add is too far away.
No I was the DPS in that one and also got hooked, because thatâs how bugs work, sometimes things do work and sometimes they donât.
I have just in this one post I have made at least seven people experiencing the same bug, no way that we are all blind, what are the chances that 100% of everyone experiencing this bug are all blind, way to go abusing everyone who experiences this bug.

Idk. Ive seen it miss because of distance. Not accuracy (or bug). Happens more now than it did in SL lol.
Iâm not saying people are wrong, but blind faith on the forums is pretty dangerous.
Iâve heard of that, I donât know what the distance is though. Historically I used to tank the add close to the stage to give as little distance as possible for the hook. Back then you could collect all the spears and orbs and all you needed was one hook and you could melt the boss.
But lately I have started tanking in the middle given the change to the add and the possible extended duration of the fight and in both instances it was hit and miss, sometimes it would land, sometimes it would not.
But itâs certainly not distance, the last time I was there the hook looked like it got tagged on something in the ground and only went like 2 feet out.
Yes, sometimes they do, sometimes they donât. Thatâs the bug. Just because it doesnât happen 100% of the time doesnât mean thereâs no bug. 100% of players didnât get the weekly reset bug but that didnât mean the bug didnât exist.
I think the safe spot is between the stage and middle. Like not right up on the stage, but like closeish? I like a good half way between middle and stage.

I do know funny things have been happening because of the affixes.
Like last week, the void add would spawn on dps during the last boss when they got carried down. (Which shouldnât happen)
Yeh I think I remember seeing a few of them spawn on someone else, but later in the week they would all spawn on the tank. I think it was random and fixed to spawn only on the tank because of issues like that, just never reported to have been changed.
Like how the orbs the week before would also spawn down below on the last boss, but they reported to have fixed that.
I doubt Blizzard will ever learn, any adds that spawn like last week should 100% spawn on the tank to give a clear indication where it will spawn, and to ensure on fights like NW last boss, or KR second boss, where the tank does not do that mechanics, then it will 100% spawn where you can find it.
And I doubt they will ever learn with issues like the hook problem, it should only be able to target players or the boss and thatâs it, if they wanted something else to make it harder instead of having it possible to be stopped by things like totems and pets (which you can seldom control). then they should just add something else in. Like a random whatever to force the tank to move the add and therefore force everyone else to move, done, added difficulty that skilled players can work around.
