It would still conflict with the fact that DK is already a class that uses Necromancy and controls an army of minions.
Yes, But We haven’t gotten a Necromancer. Because they don’t have A Warcraft 3 Hero to steal from.
Basing every character off of Warcraft 3 gives them an easy way to design classes. Necromancer doesn’t have that. Therefore it isn’t likely.
Blizzard obeys some pretty simple patterns.
need a new mail/bow physical range dps class first
Tinker.
Mail wearing.
Stacks intelligence.
Uses ranged weapons. Guns, bows, crossbows.

cool… i personally don’t care what it is, just we need more on the mail token, and hunters being the only bow/gun users is a waste of the weapons
Another class are u serious ??? They have an awful time just to balance the existing classes
I only bring up Tinkers because they:
- Have a Hero unit inspiration in WC3 just like every other class.
- Have plenty of NPCs that are Tinkers
- Tinker NPC’s already have Abilities built in with Level requirements and cooldowns.
- Blizzard doesn’t want any Pure DPS classes. And the Tinkers in game currently can Tank, Heal and DPS

Can be given doesn’t mean they have it.
Until they do they are not necromancers by any stretch of the imagination to me. If this is it then it’s a pretty laughably weak one rofl.
sounds like a win to me, not my cup of tea but we need more range and more healers/tanks wouldn’t hurt ether, just for the love of god stop adding melee to a game that is balance around range mechanics haha
Gladiator class… yes yes I know similar to Warriors but we’re running low on options at this point…
Wears Mail
Can wield a shield and polearm at same time (tank/dps)
or bow/gun/crossbow (ranged dps)
That’s all I have for ideas that isn’t a Necromancer lol
I just think it’s odd that only 1 class gets to use Bows, Crossbows, and Guns.
All you would need is to make sure some of them drop with Intelligence for Tinkers and not Agility for Hunters.
Give them special “Ammo” similar to a Shamans weapon enhancements or a Rogues poison. IE Shock Munitions, Explosive Munitions.
Let them Tank in a Mech, Just like WC3.
Let them fire Missiles from Far away for damage, Just like WC3.
And let them Heal with Healbots and grenades. Just like the Island expedition teams.
Oh, and Ana from Overwatch.

Tinker was my first thought too (put in as my first suggestion earlier).
It’s a good fit for WoW and fills an underutilised niche.
Races: Goblins, Gnomes, Humans (maybe)
I have some arguments with this.
Obviously Goblins and Gnomes, there’s no questions about that.
Dwarves (and Dark Irons) have been Tinkers as far back as Warcraft 2.
Orcs (and Mag’har) have had Tinkers and Technicians.
There’s an Undead Tinker on Gazlowe’s Grease monkeys.
Gilneans have an excellent understanding of Firearms.
Draenei (and Lightforged) and Blood Elves have had Artificers since Burning Crusade.
and of course. Vulpera. Because Ratchet and Clank is awesome.
As much as I would love to see a pure necromancer, currently, dk and unholy specifically is too close to necromancer to make a necromancer class without destroying dk like they did to warlock with the introduction of demon hunters. Especially since legion, unholy has been summoning ghouls and skeletons left and right, but also has a bunch of abilities that didnt make the transition so well. I think the proper way to introduce a necromancer would be to completely rework unholy dk to be a ranged necromancer caster. Either that or take it back to pre legion rework, because right now it’s just in a really weird grey area between the two. Other than that, the next hero class should wear mail armor for loot diversity if nothing else, because the disparity is pretty large atm, 3 plate, 2 mail, 4 leather and 3 cloth.
All very true!
Hadn’t considered Orc but yeah of course. And they should give Gnome priests a free forced class swap - having Gnome priests is just wrong. Tinker should have always been their “healing” class.
necromancers will wear leather
Lol waaay different example my friend. Warlock summons demons, use fel magic demon hunters are physical warriors infused with fel magic. Their core is not to summon demons, apply curses or dots.
I much want to see a Class that is ranged and is available for all races like gunslinger, engineer, and bard class.
Warlocks use to turn into demons. and it was part of the core fantasy of warlock.
This is because it belonged to the Demon Hunter in Warcraft 3.
When Vanilla WoW got started. The “Warlock” Class took abilities from every Demon themed unit.
When Demon Hunters showed up, they took their signature ability back.
The Warlock, Inherently is about controlling demonic energy.
But Turning into demons was specific to warlocks.
