Near constant disconnects

I’ve bypassed my router all together thinking that perhaps that was it, tried ISP’s DNS, Google DNS, Cloudflare DNS, none of those seemed to address the problem either - also contacted the ISP thinking that it was perhaps a hardware issue for them because I have family that play in the same town through the same ISP, but they are only getting lag spikes at the same time myself and my wife get disconnected.

Is your provider Centurylink? If so you probably want to join us at High latency - centurylink! Mainthread

Cayira, this is not related to Centurylink. Mormacil I would recommend to have the ISP review the WinMTR’s collected mainly the packet loss which can cause latency spikes and disconnects. Every test shows packet loss and more tests show it starting in the ISP network out side of your home.

Thank you.

According to the WinMTR report he’s having connection issues at the same jumps as almost everyone else in that thread.

That node can filter ICMP and the packet loss occurs beforehand. Thanks. I would recommend keeping the Centurylink issue within the main thread.

The conversation actually started with them prior to me making a post, it appears they don’t have any contact information(or at least claim to not have) for Telia, which appear to be the center of alot of issues recently - I just wasn’t sure if those nodes after the blizzard one had some part to play, but the fact you stated it filters ICMP explains that part at least.

I’ll continue messing around with things on this end and see if I cannot sort it out, thus far no changes I’ve made have resolved it, and it remains more or less as frequent as the time of posting as I’m sure it looks like I love logging in and out on your end lol.

Considering the server just got shut down for a few minutes… Blizz…
