Naxx way too soon

So is anybody not ‘ready’ for Naxx? Or is this a ‘cater to how we view Classic’ debate? Or…‘my dad guild wants more time to get all BiS items in phases’ debate?

I was surprised to see it going live this soon, but even the guilds that only have a handful of 9/9 clears will be heading into Naxx with better gear progression than a lot of guilds when Naxx first launched. While having another month or so would be nice, I know I’ll have more fun in Naxx.

i think the biggest mistake here is that they’ll be wasting the opportunity to draw disillusioned shadowlands players back after the first retail raid drops. some will decide shadowlands isnt for them after trying it, and having naxx dropping in classic in january or february would have drawn some of them back in and kept them subbed. Now, you’re largely forced to choose shadowlands or naxx, and by the time they come to that conclusion, naxx will be old news and classic will be slowly dying to attrition as folks await a tbc announcement.

Assuming all of your bis comes from mythic raids. The more systems it introduces, the harder it is to balance across all specs.

But you can obtain it

Until the next patch resets the maximum ilvl, sometimes needing to regrind the exact same item once again.

So with new tiers comes new BiS? Seems like something classic does as well

Not really, some of my gear is still from MC. Having your hard earned gear replaced by world quests the moment a tier ends and then having to regrind the same dungeon pieces all over again is depressing.

Really really. I still am missing my BoA so it seems like exactly as that guy said which was “anyone can achieve BiS as long as they have enough time and luck on their side” is ringing true in both instances. My luck just hasnt been there.

Ill be replacing my hard earned AQ gear with naxx gear here soon enough. Nothing new there

Apples to oranges. I don’t agree it’s to the same extent. Your AQ gear still has value, it won’t be easily replaced by world quests.

I was going to leave it alone but you seem to have this idea stuck in your head. WQ items wont replace raid items when tiers change. They just dont.

Faster we get naxx, the faster we get BC, lets go!

Yall are treating naxx like its the end of the server.

Seems like many are paranoid their server will be a ghost town after naxx settles in… relax. Private servers were running classic just fine long before this came around.

Whether due to pressure from Blizzard or not, many, many private servers shut down shortly after naxx and new ones were opened.

So while pservers have been running vanilla long before classic, none have lasted as long on the final patch as Classic will.

Titanforging, azerite traits, benthic gear. I hope the new systems are better implemented than the previous.

The gear treadmill was never as much as obvious at is was during BFA.

All gone. So what are we going to blame next?

The treadmill has and will always exist. My original statement still is true. You can achieve BiS

This is why i think dropping naxx early was a brilliant move you want naxx to be old news ASAP so classic players try retail not the other way around. Let there be a nice fat gap in time so people can get their NAXX bis lists done then they will get bored and hunger for TBC. Let a few quit while otehr try shadowlands then drop TBC to lure back in the guys who quit and didn’t try shadowlands.

I hold no ill intentions towards the future of retail. I sincerely hope that it becomes a better game.

There is a risk you turn them off completely. You don’t need to hurt Classic for retail to succeed.

No risk at all if they would leave for that they were not people they could suck in for life anyway no real loss.
