Nathanos Won

How exactly did he win? Sometimes I wish this game was rated M just so someone could’ve picked up his head and punted it clear to arathi basin, talking crap the entire time of course.

He died well… for a toady.

comic book guy has spoken apparently

I mean, from what I’ve read, he was doing that purposely. Argent Crusaders that were patrolling by saw him just sitting on his porch. Not even trying to hide himself. Nathanos knew what he was doing…

He didn’t win physically! Perhaps his goals were met or not completely put to a hold but as far as raw combat goes he definitely lost!

This is a very unpopular opinion:

We will not see Nathanos anymore, he died convinced that Sylvanas will resurrect him, but the truth is that she no longer needs him.

The Dark Lady already reached the Jailer and he had an infinite army infused with dark power.

And thats why, Nathano’s dead is perfect. He died like a simp.

Yea, he just can’t get over being left behind. Sylvanas tossed him to the dogs and he cannot see it. I’d love to meet a distraught version of him in SL moping over it.

Either that or he has no plans to be resurrected at all, and dying was the only way for him to get to her at the moment. Guessing if she’s working with and/or against the Jailer he’s not exactly high on her list of priorities.

Unless of course Sylvanas puts him in the soul version of a meat grinder on the other side.

She very well might. He could potentially be more useful as pure energy.

I never said that wasn’t his plan, and it’s obviously going to lead to another showdown in the Shadowlands. But if we’re constantly beating on him, and Tyrande is constantly hunting him and handing him his butt (can’t say the A word? Really? lol), what has he really won? Another chance to lick Sylvanas’ boot?

But I look at it from the story prospective. Our boy, natty, is horde, but is he? The horde and alliance are, as a collective, portrayed in a gray zone, neither good guys, nor bad guys. But Sylvanas is Natty are the bad guys. This is pretty much uncontestable at this point until Blizzard takes the story elseware.

Even the bad guys have their fanatics.

I can’t imagine a scenario where Nathanos and Sylvanas can ever be vindicated.

We won because we forced him to admit he’d been beat, while he’s crying into his Sylvanas body pillow in the Eastern Plaguelands she’s with her actual guy in the Shadowlands.

As Nelson always used to say “harhar”.

Nathanos thinks he wins. He probably does for now. But once you kill him in the SL, it’s game over for him.

That is not within Calia’s character to do.

Sylvanas is probably just gonna give him a new body when he gets to the Maw. I mean…

I have a theory that maybe she’s gonna try to stick him in Anduins body.

WOW now there’s an idea I never thought of, but I think she’d rather have him in daddy Wrynns body

She is not strong enough…
She is a nobody.
She will taste my sword soon enough!

Too bad Daddy Wrynn went POOF lol

Nate obviously went to his home to die. His tone when he mentions The Jailor makes it pretty clear that he was intentionally left behind; discarded by Sylvanas.

He wanted to be by her side, and there’s more conventional ways to reach the shadowlands for the most hated man in Azeroth.

He knew someone who actually could kill him would eventually turn up. Tyrande gained nothing at all from killing Nathanos; not even satisfaction. Should have thrown him in one of those Warden 10,000 year jail cells. The Illidan Suite may be the one thing that would wipe the smirk off his face.

Going to disagree and suggest that Nate ends up in a cage in the maw. The Jailer clearly doesn’t value Nathan, and Sylvanas intentionally left him behind.

The Jailer will warp Nathanos into a mawsworn weapon, while Sylvanas stands aside with measured indifference.
