I’ve been wanting nathanos-looking undead for so long… people can hate him all they want but no one can deny he looks awesome
Well as always, I see a Fallynn thread, I support a Fallynn thread XD
But seriously…as someone who mains undead Horde-side, this would be awesome, and if we can’t have San’layn via blood elves (though I AM still hoping for that…even if it’s just through customization options), having vampires via humans would be great too. It would give us a lore-friendly way of getting ‘Nathanos type’ undead, and Forsaken DO need their allied race.
And fair is fair…if Alliance get high elves via void elves (especially if further high elf-esque customizations come through tattoos and new hairstyles), Horde should get a more direct copy of an Alliance model too (NB don’t count as night elves since the rig is completely different).
I wish they could look like the art if they were added
Hahaha thank you I swear, people are going to start saying: “Oh a vampire topic. It’s her again, isn’t it.” I was actually really hesitant to start it for that reason, but then figured…why not. It’d (potentially) make forsaken fans happy, as well as those who like vampires. And everyone knows I’m not talking about certain horrible lore that should not be mentioned. I’m talking about monsters that have a nice face, in some cases, anyway.
Yeah, exactly! We all know I want San’layn above all, but this idea came about as I thought more about vampirates and how they showed up, and how there really wasn’t an avenue for it until, well… that, due to the complexity of that ritual. I figured I’d offer a solution therefore and see what people think.
Gods, big same here. You can probably tell why I’m SUPER jealous of male night elves, too, considering a certain hair style is exactly replicated on them >:P But yeah, those are a couple of my FAVORITE pieces of my OCs, and they make for good examples (and look nice in general so I’m buying brownie points with those who like it )
Denathrius looking vampires the rest nah
You always have my support with this type of stuff Fall so I’m adding a like to your main post and posting here to follow the thread.
(My on the phone at work suggestion) How about they add a San layn class? Could be BE/VE, human/forsaken, orc/NE-dranei?
I can get behind this! I’ve wanted a human-based Forsaken model for a while now, though I think it would be good for such a model to be a little more unique than just a reskinned Human. Maybe more modified in some other way; sort of like what you’ve shown but more visually distinct, OP! Could still use those models too as an additional customization option as well.
I guess it’d basically be body types at that point.
This is also a neat idea, yeah! I think the problems that come up with that are the restrictions, as DH are already restricted, and people REALLY don’t like that. Though… a non-restricted vampire class would be SUPER neat, where pretty much most people would get it. Like Death Knights, actually! Or they could add spec-specific stuff to death knights itself, like vampire features for blood (though it’d be best not to restrict those).
There are so many options and avenues that are creative for it. This is one I would not mind either.
I wouldn’t be opposed to this! Perhaps more lanky, both with more ‘beautiful’ faces and also ‘nosferatu’ options to appeal to both sides of the vampire debate. In my other thread for San’layn, I suggested REALLY bat like-features too, where they’d get features from things like Stoneborne, and be a harpy-like version of that. (with bats of course).
They look cool. I’m up for it.
As usual I support anything that brings more undeath into Azeroth! Still want my Dark Rangers/Undead Elves most though. But I can advocate for both.
I don’t know about Nathanos, but I would love to be a Vampirate! That was one of my favorite quests in Legion!
- I am DOWN for San’layn to be playable.
- How did you make that little triangle to hide and show the paragraphs!?
Honestly if we could get a male human model that doesn’t look like he drinks steroids that would be awesome…honestly Blood/void elves are like the only attractive male models currently in the game. Maybe make the model leaner/more lanky (though maybe not to the level of the ‘skinny Kul tiran’). But customization options could be fun. Undead skin tones, new hairstyles, etc, different claw and fang options.
Give us the Alliance werewolves vs Horde vampires dream Blizzard! XD
Because you all wasted your time in actually supporting the High Elf topics. Without the constant resentful bickering and traction they wouldn’t have gotten these features at all. I advice doing the exact same thing now: Hijacking the Forsaken topics, explaining why this isn’t going to work and constantly pushing the topics to no end. Worked like a charm the last time.
But on a serious note here, I do want to give the Horde also these human models for the Forsaken.
MAJOR same here, trust me. I want playable San’layn above all (and Dark Rangers are great too, they’d be lovely to have playable <3) but yeah I wanted to toss this idea out there for those that might also enjoy this thought!
Oh gosh, major same here! (I’m captain obvious tonight )
When you’re posting, you want to press on the little cog wheel, it’s up in the area where you select bold, italics, links, etc. When you do that, you click “Hide details”. Then, you can change the label of it, and add your content in. For images, though, you will need to code them, a single link won’t show. You’d need <img src= " IMAGE BUT NO SPACES ", the end carrot, and then the /img in the “><”
Agreed so much. I nominate my OCs as an example for models Hahaha, but seriously, agreed entirely. The human models are meh. As someone who is attracted to men (but who is CRAZY PICKY), agreed. The Thalassian elves are the most attractive to me.
I didn’t do that to high elf topics though >.> In fact I said I didn’t really care what they got, and just wanted a hair style exchange (which we never got ). I know it’s not directed toward me, but not every forsaken/dark ranger/San’layn fan hopped in. In fact, many of them that participate in my thread didn’t really touch high elf topics, from my observations, and those against elves were against DR/SL as well in general. I just hate being grouped with either, since I’ve made my stance clear and don’t want my threads hijacked/argued in when I didn’t even provoke anyone.
We all hate being labelled or grouped as something we are not. People will hijack topics out of bad faith and because there are no actual punishments. All you can do is to embrace these people to your favor. Let them do their stuff in your topic, Fallynn.
Sooner or later people will also ask for “normal” skin colors for the Nathanos-style Forsaken and you’ll see how reversible this situation can be.
No idea what that means but the holier than thou attitude when there’s toxicity glaringly from “pro” sides that I’ve experienced from certain folks personally (including harassment and stalking-like behavior) tells me there’s more to that story than “people are mean to me”. Not to mention the constant thread spam even (and especially) now.
This is the last thing I’ll comment on that matter. If people come in here for the sole purpose of derailing, and that does NOT mean simply disagreeing with me and sharing that, then I’m putting them on ignore like an adult. I don’t care about high elves, I find them incredibly boring, and I really don’t want to hear about them in this thread. That’s not what it is about. Unless it’s: “the alliance have the thalassian model now so Horde having humans is fair”.
Anyway, all of that aside because I really don’t feel like arguing further, I’m glad it seems like people are generally open to this idea. I wasn’t sure what to expect and I love the idea sharing here.
This idea of yours is a good one.
Just like San’layn I imagine quite a few would enjoy it very much.
Plus I’d really like more answers to the whole vampyr and San’layn curse origins. I feel like this could give us that.
Thanks so much, I appreciate it! Yeah I was hesitant at first but pleasantly surprised at the reactions. I do agree with the sentiment that a modified model in some form for this would be nice, maybe. (Well, beyond the fangs/claws/eyes). But I really, really want to know the origin of the curse, and they keep bringing it up in tidbits throughout the game expansions, so I don’t think they can blame us for really wanting to know the true nature and origin. There is a ton of speculation, but no answers!
