It wasn’t always like this, nameplates used to be legible and larger, but whatever update happened in these few months since returning to WoW, this change makes doing battlegrounds especially difficult because I can’t even see where players are. Here are two files, one showing I have the “Larger Nameplates” option turned on and the other is a screenshot of how tiny nameplates appear. Even when they get close to me the words are barely visible. There must be a way to make them so they are so tiny…

Just did exactly what was said there. I uninstalled Curse, removed all addons manually too, renamed those three folders WTF, Interface, and Cache to _old, restarted to reset the UI settings. Logged back in and checked UI settings ensuring larger nameplates were turned on and nothing changes, the nameplates are still super tiny, look how small this nameplate is, I’m not even far from it: https://i.postimg.cc/NFV6Z4TQ/image-2022-01-20-120721.png
It wouldn’t be hard for Blizzard to just have a setting in there to scale the text size, that would fix this instantly if they did.
The setting that was changed is not likely visible in the menu. That’s the trouble with addons—they aren’t developed by Blizzard, and Blizzard isn’t responsible for the weird settings they cause. I recommend just reinstalling at this point.
